I already mentioned this as a reply in another thread but I decided to give it its own topic.....Fisher being an ex-SEAL would know how to utilize CQC.....CQC is a fighting technique effective against enemies that are right near you. SEALS and other spec op warriors use this to gain the upper hand in a hazardous situation where speed and violence of action is neccesary. It can effectively be used to disarm weapons and deflect an enemies field of fire away from you. The new Metal Gear Solid game incorporated CQC, the new moves Fisher has with his knife are an aspect of CQC but it would be nice if Ubisoft expanded on the idea.......it's realistic and it would fit the stealth aspect of the game.

based upon what i've read, CQC is being included in the next game... (knife)
are you comparing the two punch/roundhouse attack in the MGS series to sam's elbow shot maneuver?
P.S. I hope the knife attacks replace the elbow shot, i was never a big fan of that attack...

You're right....Sam isn't a SEAL anymore, but I don't think that would cause him to forget all his skills he used previously......it has nothing to do with Kung Fu

In reply to OriginaLoki I'm not talking about the 2 punch roundhouse, that was from the old MGS games......check out the MGS3 website, it has an explanation of what I was talking about, it's new to MGS

Anything is better than the elbow strike.....the elbow is supposedly the hardest part of the body but it got old after using it for the past two games

Exactly......I like how you would die if you fell into the water on the Oil Rig level in the first game.....

He didn't die, my friend, he was spotted, and he would have been shot before he got back on to the rig anyway. BTW I agree, the elbow strike is the most stale bit of CQC action I believe I have ever seen.

I think that they replaced the elbow attack with a punching attack. So down with the elbow and up with the fist.

no the elbow is still here but you can do different attacks, when you press different buttuns *I think*

I have a SEALS DVD that shows the knife and CQB techniques used by SEALS and other organizations. There is one guy that can cut you with a knife about eight times(probably more) in about one to two seconds.
