View Full Version : God bless R6! New game concepts...

First of all I am new to ps3 and to R6, and I've gotta say what a great game! I would say that it covers a nice little niche in the first person shooter market. Customization of your character is one of the games best features in my opinion, not to mention concepts like ranks and a natural feeling interface that allows complete control. The tactical feel of the game separtes it from other first person shooters, which is a good thing, because they are becoming pretty much the same these days!

Things I would love to see in the next game -

-Black in cammo customization. Maybe even a full spectrum colour chart.

-Customization is what makes the game personal. I would like to see a new A.C.E.S. concept. When you begin with a new customised character you should go through a short assessment or calibration mission, the outcome of which gives you a specialist rate, marksman, CQB, or assault. That rate should permanently apply to your character unless you choose to re-customize them. Having your rank displayed over one shoulder and your rate over the other shoulder would be pretty cool. Having a specific rate should allow weapons of that rate to be gained more easily aswell as a unique relevant skill. For example: only marksmen can position to prone to get zero scope movement and faster reload while in the prone position. Only CQB can have silent movement and use a melee knife. And only assault can sprint and have twice ammo capacity. I think this would encourage teamwork on-line and also make on-line battles less predictable.

-I would also like to see the ability to shoot out lights to gain a tactical advantage on-line and in story mode.

-P.S. Please don't go all arcade like other first person shooters, keep it just like it is, that's why we like R6!

I like the black camo, & color slider idea,
I put that on my wishlist when I made it.
And that A.C.E.S. idea sounds pretty nice.

I don't know about only allowing certain
players to run, & go prone though...
That's running a little too close to
Call of Duty for my liking.

Marksman being able to go prone
faster, & reload faster isn't bad.
& an assault having extra ammo sounds nice.
But I think sprinting & going prone are too
"fundamental" to a Rainbow Six game to just
limit them to one class of player.

I think adding more depth to the A.C.E.S.
system is good. But I don't want it to be
some "wanna-be" version of Call of Duty's
"perks" system.

Good ideas though. I'll have 2 add them to the
list. & thanks Neo for pointing this post out on
