There is a big difference between slow tactical play and camping. You camped. The other team was right to be angry.

Yeah, and remember that 3rd person-duck-and-cover is NOT how Rainbow is supposed to be played.

As a former sniper in real life, I can assure you we don't camp, we stalk. It can take hours getting into or sitting in one position just to take one shot maybe a couple more, then you have to get out of there before your location is compromised. There is none of this "lets sit here and wait for people to run in front of me!" BS.

Very well said...
(VEGAS)But I know that you snipers definitely run around in a close quarters area with a PSG1 rifle and no scope people while in a third person view.
(COD4)I'm also very positive that snipers jump up at least 6 feet in the air with about 100 pounds worth of equipment stapled on your body, shoot a Barret 50. caliber sniper rifle and eliminate 6 tangos with all your shots while in mid air.

What would happen if the other team stayed all down in the bottom of the map and waited just as patiently as you guys ?
Would that be fun ?
"capping"(capturing) and controlling/holding zones is all fine, and is actually tactical as you do this to progress trough the map, and this is what R6 is all about, camping in one and the same spot waiting out the enemy is booooring http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I didn't mean camping all day...but you do camp in a spot for "the shot" :P

You drew a comparison with what a sniper does and what campers in a game do, of which there is none, especially when they are talking about an entire team of campers. The closest thing in RL would be SF teams that may set up an ambush for a roving patrol consisting of a few individuals, because it is always better to kill the enemy before they even realize you are there. But again, this is usually a one shot deal, as the team will move on again quickly.

How many time you want to repeat this happy bunny ? This makes you not good at all because you just camped. When you go in action i bet you wont even get that score.
Now moderators please lock this stupid topic.

Why did you turn off explosives??? So you could camp on the roof. Why would you play a video games and turn off weapons. Maybe we can restrict all the guns and run around and slap each other. The guns are unfair any way, right. You are a ****** bag.

YES! one grenade will make you have fun of 2 things to happen:
1: checkins running all over the place (after a nade been visible or sounded to land on the ground).
2: campers highest fly tournament (after explosion you'll be invited to the flying campers day instantly, where you see flying baloons painted with camos, written on each one: camping is HIGH fun) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

I wont criticize someone for camping but I cant give a camper credit for getting alot of kills either because we all know its much easier to get a lot of kills when your opponent has to come to you.

There is a difference between a camp and a tactical camp. For example. John Doe who is a noob who sits in the corner for the entire game just picking off whoever walks by, that is a lame camp. A tactical camp is different. For example, you know that a certain player or group will go by Hallway A. So you decide to camp at the end of Hallway A. The players walk into Hallway A and you kill them. After you kill them you proceed down the hallway and continue with the game. That is a tactical camp and it is completely legit.

The effectiveness of camping in this game proves that it is not a tactical shooter. In real life, camping isn't always the best solution. This is because it's much easier to know where someone is if they don't move. And if your enemy knows where you are, you'll quickly be flanked, surprised, sniped, flushed out with a grenade, or pinned down with covering fire. In Ghost Recon for example, camping works much less frequently, that's what makes it a tactical shooter.
