Patriots not launching

hi me agian..this might sound silly but i created a mission with a bunch of patriot missile sites and and a few targets on the base one of the targets being my F15, just wanting to see how the patriots worked i did not arm my F15 well then the TU160's came well within firing range of the patriots and not one of them fired at the TU160's making me to take off and take them out with my guns? why ould the patriots not fire, i checked my coalition and they were correct...can someone help me?

Patriot is unique in the land SAM systems in Lockon that it does not have a rotating radar system. Therefore it cares about which direction it is pointing. Mission editor will default to pointing units to the North. You must make sure the Patriot radar unit is pointing at the direction that the enemy are coming from. Not so important for the missile launchers, just the radar.
Think of it like a Claymore mine - Point toward enemy!
