Hi, I've managed to get a polish version of this beautiful game and Im wondering if theres a way to make it Enlish. Ive seen a few topics covering the changing of a config file and registry entry for the map editor but they say it doesnt work on the actual game. Can anyone enllighten me? Also the actual location of the registry entry would be helpful if anyone knows it.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't change the original cd from one language to another, that was if someone had original cd in one language and editor on mission cd or addon in another one.

It is so long since I advised on this that I cant remember 100% how it worked in game or if like you said it was for the editor,but to change language in game try this but no guarantee it will work.

Start
type in regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
BlueByte
Settlers4
Double click settlers4
on the right screen you will see language
right click that and see what number you have.

Mine is set at 0 which I can only assume is English.Looked on the Editor and there is no language file there to change,so its quite likely this was how you got the Editor in English.

If this doesnt work put the number back to as it was.

I tried changing the registry value and the entry in the config file to 0 and to several other values but to no avail. I guess I'll just have to hunt down an English copy =)
