I'm haveing a problem with my frame rate when using the attack scope that makes the game unplayable. It only happens in rough weather, when there is water draining off the lens. My mouse won't respond, the key board commands don't work. Well...I assume its frame rate, it could be something else. Once all the water has drained away my mouse and key board respond just fine. A ship might travel 1000 yards before I get the controlls back though.
I have raedon 9600, 1.4 and GWX2.0

any thoughts?

thanks

System specs? Sounds like your graphics card is working hard to process.

I used to have a problem like this when locking ships with the attack binoculars. If I saved the game when it was jumpy and exited silent hunter then restarted silent hunter and loaded the save game it ran smooth and i could continue. Because of this i thought it was more of a game problem than a frame rate thing. That workaround helped me. That was a while ago and i dont have that problem anymore maybe patching the game solved it.

What are your other specs? How much RAM have you got? What CPU do you have?

Next time you play, press Ctrl-F8 to show your framerate, and let us know what kind of rates you get in different circumstances in the game - periscope view, exterior camera view, different weather conditions, etc.
