It was forecast and the road information system on the motorways constantly reminded us road users throughout the day that snow will be falling this morning, and at last we have got the snow. I was scheduled to do a long run in my truck tonight and was later told to return to my Swindon Depot early due to trailer/loading requirements - just as well as I would be still on the road instead of writing this.

Here are some pics I took about 04:30hrs GMT in Swindon Wiltshire.

Lots of snow just north of London but, surprisingly, I managed to get into work (harlow) by train!! Not sure that going home is going to quite as easy. Haven't got any pictures I'm afraid.

Nothing here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif but we are right on the coast - that has something to do with it apparently.

@ Celeon - I too recognise that picture! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Was any of it Orange Snow (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6323611.stm)?

Hmm, dont know which one would be best, Orange Snow or Yellow Snow.

Anyways, there are parts of north eastern US that will receive up to 100 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. Yes, not a typo ONE HUNDRED INCHES.

How do weather forecasters even come up with a guess of 100 inches? Just say ... stay home and do the wife.
