Getting really frustrated

I'm doing everything like the pictures say. The pendulums are at Left-Middle, Middle-High, and RIght-High. I tried other settings, but they didn't work, either. The cylinder wheel is set with the two farthest away with the ringed part of the cylinders facing out. THe one closest to me is smooth end out.... the other 2 pics look just like the book. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Also, I have all the color posts pointed at each other, in the right order, but the colors are still not showing up on the leaf door. Is there something else I need to do first? Yes, the first light post (before the yellow one) is working.

On the matter of getting the lights lined up, I travelled from the first light location to the next light. You must look through the light post to see where to go next. The final light post should point to the door.
Puzzle 2
If you are referring to the small room at the bottom of the elevator shaft, use the book to set up all three mechanical devices. Remember that detail of the positions of each piece must replicate the books description. The pendulums have the three positions. Good luck
