Alrighty... its so sad...he left Farah there on her balcony and the bond which they shared just dissapeared...the prince made no real effort to try and make her rediscover what had actually happened...such a brilliant story is ruined...but it can be redeemed if only farah would reappear in another prince of persia game perhaps??? anyways i found out what Khakhouloukhia literally translates into...

Khakh = Sand(s)
Ou= Of
Loukhia = Time

UBISOFT THIS IS A DESPERATE CRY FROM A MAJORITY OF POP FANS AND PLAYERS...BRING FARAH BACK WE WANT HER TO KNOW THE PRINCE!!!

I thought the end of SoT was one of the best ever, counting both games, movies and books. it was original and a bit sad, a bit happy, it was perfect! but I want Farah back too. she was a nice and interesting character. now we may also see how it would be if she did a journey similar to that in SoT, but with a darker and more "mature" prince, and how that would affect her. I love "what if"-stories.
and welcome to the PoP forums, Seth_Twilight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

~SPOILER~ I'm not sure if you have seen the alternate ending in POP: WW, but in it they show Farah being held captive. So I do believe the Prince will have to save her in the next POP game.

What language is the translation from Seth?

Seth_Twilight
01-09-2005, 01:46 PM
Arabic...my mother father and sister know parts of Arabic and when i asked them what Khakoulukia meant they laughed and told me that it was 3 words Khakh Ou Loukia = Sands Of Time
Remember...The prince was coming from persia (modern day Iran) to capture a Palace in India...on their way back they stopped in another country...which is where most of the game is set...it is most probably an arabic speaking country such as Syria.

Obviously someone at Ubisoft did their homework because most of the arabic signs and scriptures placed around the game mean perfect sense in relevance to the level...The baths have a big arabic sign just above where you push the box through the wall which reads "Shallow Water" and if you look carefully near the big statue in "Theres something glowing up there" theres another piece of arabic writing which says..."strip off and take a dip...the waters great"

Anyways back to topic...i miss Farah...i really hope she appears where u guys say she does

Wow, that's awesome, I thought maybe they just made up a pretty word and used it. OMG that's sooooo cool about the signs! I just love little easter eggs like that! Do you know of any more that were in there? That's just neato.

Anyway, I hope they bring Farah back too! I think the Prince did all he could to make Farah remember, he kind of just realized it was hopeless and left before he looked like some nutty stalker. But I'd like to see him give it another shot!

@Seth: Hey, that's great to know. Thank you. I guess there are some other surprises encoded in the writings. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well since I do speak Arabic here is what the sings mean :
In the baths : There were two signs actually. One above where you have to bring the level of water down and it said "Water level". The other one is above the door you need to break with the sword and it said "Open Sesame" which is an old arabic word used in 1001 nights Fantasy stories to open Magic Doors.
Throughout the game, in the curtains and walls, There were writings in Arabic which mean Kingdom of Azad .... These are all the ones I can remember for now ...

This is by far the coolest discovery I've seen so far in the Prince of Persia universe. I now appreciate all the delightful Middle Easternness even more thanks to little tidbits like this.

Sweet.

EEP! That's sweet!!!! I highly doubt they were in Syria if they were on their way back to Iran from India...shouldn't they be in like Pakistan where the game should take place?

I heard from an interview Khakhouloukhia was COMPLETE gibberish that they made up!

The rest of the writing is real arabic however.

That makes sense too, at least in the baths scene. The Prince says this word while watching Farah's white panties and her ... uh ... other stuff. And I don't know any guy (including me) who would say something useful in that situation. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif -- Just kidding. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

alimokrane

To start with Khakhouloukhia is not an Arabic Word I can Confirm this. So it might be a persian name or something but what I think is: it is the equivalent of the Arabic Word "Eftah Ya Simsim" i.e. "open Sesame" which is really obvious cauz when Farah says that word the magical door to the Caverns opened up ...

With that explanation, @alimokrane, the baths sequence, I mentioned, is even more funnier. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I am obsessed with Prince and Farrah together, their relationship-his snide comments throughout the first game were fabulous and great! And their connection was so strong and completle-very real, I need it back!!!! POP3 where are you?

I feel your pain Murm, but keep in mind that it is a western produced video game and historical accuracy is generally considered less important than the gameplay. Also only the very beggining segment takes place in India.

kakulukia is not persian, and if it is in arabic why would farah use it? isnt she indian?

Are you talking about the writings in the palace of the Sultan of Azad? He's not Farah's father. The palace is where the SOT story is set up -- wherever Azad is ... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Azad is a fictional place. The word Azad simply means free. Lol, well it wasn't free for long was it?

OMG sultans_apple has blest this thread by posting in it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif All hale sultans_apple the creator of the original Farah Appreciation thread!!!

I love farah and hope that she will return as a main charatcher in the next game (Perhaps instead of prince of persia it will be prinsess of india http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif)

But in truth I loved the ending of sot. When I finished sot for the first time I weeped because it was so sad that farah and the prince where not together and that she could not remember whar had happened between them. But afterward I found myself saying that the ending was so incredibly good that there seperashon had to happen. I was very glad when the sequal came out (ofcores farah was not in it though) and then TTT came out and farah and the prince.... well Im not going to give anything away http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
