MYST V Demo Big Problems!!!!!

Blue Screen Of Death when trying to run MYST V Demo!!!!!!!!! ARGGGHHHHH!!!

I have latest drivers for video (Radeon 9200) and audio ( Audigy 2) and still BSOD!
How can a machine that plays Uru perfectly do this??????????????

Mine just runs off the left side of the screen. Great sound, no picture.

I think its your 3D card, try puting in a Geforce 4 or 6 I recommend getting a Geforce 6 card , most games like doom 3 and uru and myst V are all really made for use with Geforce games , some give support for ati cards but most things ati has to fix in their drivers before the games will play, I had a Redeon card once two but I got a Geforce again because , the card was ok but doom 3 was too dark with it compared to a nvidia card, these game maker use nvidia cards so their optimized for use with a nvidia , even thought some say they support ati , Think of it this was ati cards are 3rd party drivers , while nvidia are made for, best compatable games etc.. nvidia = 1st and ati = second rate priority for the game makers, don't use ati drivers when developing their games , they use nvidia geforce or better type that nvidia makes , get it , I hope you do

I have a NVIDIA card, worked fine with Revelation, but have big trouble with MystV Demo
Every time I click the Play button , the screen turns black and my computer restarts....
Anybody have an Idea what could be wrong?

Try installing older drivers. I found that I had to use older drivers for Uru because the later ones didn't work properly. (Conversely, the earlier ones didn't work for M4, but the later ones did. Which was kinda annoying.)

I'm currently running ForceWare 77.72, which seems to run the demo perfectly. YMMV.

I gave up on making the demo work. I got the UK Collectors Edition this week and the real game works fine. Happy ending!
