Looks good. I would pay gold to see michael keaton play the role again.

my favorite batman is Val Kilmer, Keaton doesnt have the badass edge that a Batman should have, although his movies were the best, because they were gritty, and the story was good....

Yah, it seems a bit more "epic" than the others, since the others seemed more like a "presume batman already exists, here's a bad guy, here's batman beating that bad guy."
This one seems to cover way more ground when it comes to the story. Very complete, you don't need to read the comics or have watched the other movies to know what's going on.
Very interesting looking indeed...

bah yet another "superhero" movie. Usually some socially inadequate dork who then "transforms" into silly costumed dork with super powers obtained from radiation exposure / fiendish lab experiment / dorky superhero parents / or in the case of batgeek just lots of dosh.
Save it.

I don't know if I would call a millionaire with tons of connections as socially inadequate, but ok, you can "save it," I give you permission...

I always hated Batman. . . not because I particularly hate Batman himself, but because of all the piece of **** bad guys they came up with. I mean my brother is into batman and always tells me stuff about how batman is more realistic a character than other superheroes (not a fan of comics in general, but I liked the second Spiderman and both X-men movies). That may be true to some extent, he has no powers and uses gadgets instead, but for chissake the villans are the most over the top and often. . . well I'll stop here because what I want to say is politically incorrect enough to probably get me banned. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

On the other hand this Batman film looks like it just *might* avoid the pitfalls of the other Batman movies. Not to mention the supporting cast looks pretty decent for once, and oddly enough on the "good guy" side of things.

I agree trog, like the whole Mr. Freeze ****...
Anyway, I am not normally into the superhero stuff, all the super powers make their actions seem so not heroic. I mean, look at superman, if bullets can't hurt him, and he can fly and he's super strong, then who cares if he stops a bank robber or a mugger or something, it's not like he was in any real risk anyway...
Anyway, I also like Batman because he's actually human, but some of the enemies are a bit stupid. Personally, I have always enjoyed the Batman and Joker confrontations. Bane was ok too, even though that is really fake too, but it wasn't extremely corny like the others.
This film doesn't appear to have any of those super villains though, it seems like it's simply Batman versus some pretty evil people, but real people.

I briefly noticed something in the trailer that resembled a guy on a horse and the horse shot flames out its nostrils, but hey by Batman standards that's a pretty realistic badguy. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I don't think it was actually a firebreathing horse, it could have been wearing something that was breathing fire. Who knows, it could just be that the "bad guys" in this movie are so well off that they can afford to be fancy about the way they commit crimes, lol. Who knows, I guess I'll find out when I watch the movie.

Much like the farm kid from the desert planet who manages to wreck Dad's awesom new wheels, blow up a few Star destroyers on the weekend, kiss and have fantasies about (yech) his sister, become hero of the galaxy, get trained by a little green guy with a funny voice, chop off Dad's hand, kill the really mean dude, befreiend a bunch of hairy forest dwellers, blow up Dad's second new set of awesome wheels, save his father from a place with little light.
Ya, thats a much more realistic movie........ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
(didn't mean to imply you had said it was)

Well, technically his dad already lost his hand years ago (as I assume we will soon see) and it was his dad who killed the really mean dude, not the kid himself, lol. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
(not that this makes any difference in the realism issue...) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
BTW, have you seen the DVD release of the old ones? The picture quality almost look like it was shot this year... Very nice indeed...

He is the ONLY comic character that is known to choke answers and information out of people with fear AND money offers.
