Frontlines: Fuel of War is a game that was in development or at least was announced long before Endwar was announced. In any case, I bring it up because the storyline and the time are close to each other.

FFOW is in 2024 and deals with the depletion of oil and the global chaos that ensues. In any case, the developers, Kaos Studios (creators of some of the most innovative aspects of BF2 and creators of the Desert Combat mod for BF:1942) have developed a rich storyline and best of all have also really cool military technology where they've done some thorough research.

This vid is in better resolution over at gametrailers so don't judge the vid by the crappy resolution: http://www.gamespot.com/video/932614/6174945/videoplayerpop?
and just check out gametrailers in the search function.

Anyway, I thought you guys who appreciate advanced military technology that's realistic and has a good storyline and good gameplay features might be interested in this. Let me know what you guys think.

Hmm, I saw this back in EGM magazine a LONG time ago. Looks nice. Since it looks like tech and weapons are similar, it would be interesting to meld together a video compilation of EndWar and Frontline

I don't think you should be put off by that, the storyline for both have oil as a key factor in triggering a war, but that doesn't mean that it should detract from either game. If anything, it's a good storyline as it's a much more realistic and honest cause for war than alot of other wargame storylines out there.

Yes it is not the same story, and there are differences, but a war against NATO vs old communist country about oil or energy, it's not very originale. But it's true it's a good storyline, so it's not partuculary amazing to see many game with this kind of story.

That brings up an interesting point, the Government of the PRC about 10 years ago started releasing these "maps" that showed Chinas "historical" area of governence, the first map released showed Taiwan,, Tibet, the Spratly island, all of which they now claim as historical, ie they want, they have Tibet, they want Taiwan, they need the Spratlys, the latest maps show even larger areas, part's of Korea, India, Russia, all of Mongolia, part's of Thiland Laos ect ect...bad sign, rising neo-imperialism, or aggressive nationalism...bad
