Throttle Control

I am using a Saitek X-45 and am having some issues with throttle mapping. I set the thrust control to be "slider zero" and clear the other option for left/right thrust so nothing is mapped. In game, however this takes over and my throttles are both differential and I am down to one engine. Any suggestions? Thanks

After you make the throttle mapping change use the OK button at the bottom to save the changes.

I've cleared out all other hardware and even disconnected every game controller but for the CH pedals and X45. All throttle/thrust controls are unmapped but the thrust controls continue to revert back to a 'default' it seems which is 'slider 1' as the left thrust control. Mayday!
