I was just sitting here thinking about the different American sub classes available during WWII, S-class, Narwhal class, Barracuda class, Perch class, Salmon-Sargo class, Tambor class, Gato class, and Balao class. Are all of these Sub classes reprenseted in the game? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I started my career PH 9th Dec 1941 and you get to pick from 3, Porpoise Tambor or Gat don't know if that was short for Gato? as I see in the post above there is a Gar class could be it I never paid that much attention as i wanted to get started. Though come to think of it why would they cut Gato down to 3 letters, so it must be a Gar.
As I said in another post, my 1st mission was to go to my patrol station west of the Marshall Islands, 600m west of them. 30 days I patrolled that area not 1 enemy contact and only 4 US ones all well over 500m away. I was set on easy as a test run, and I don't know how much days of fuel you have when your on the higher settings where you would use your fuel up. Its a 10,000m round trip PH to MIs.
I say I don't know how many days of patrolling I would get out of my fuel, as unlike in SH3 in the Nav icons there is no icon to tell you if you do x=speed how many miles can I travel. If its there I can't see it. I miss the crew icons of SH3.

I would have to believe that it must have been a Gar class sub. If the game models Sub release date's realisticly. Gato class subs didnt begin to enter service untill late 1942, early 1943. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Actuly the a Gato class was in Pearl at the time of the attack, it was also credited with one aircraft.

Thanks for the clarification Wilhelm, i'll slowly remove my foot from my mouth. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif
Truthfully though, i do remember reading sometime ago i'll admit, that Gato class subs had production problems and delays. Well this is what happens when you have trouble remembering your name some days. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
