Beware of new Settlers 7 patch

The New settler 7 patch has come out just recently - when you install it there is an error during the installation process and then when you start the game you get an error message and you cant proceed - Error: Failed to load 'shaders\particles.shaderlib' Engine will not run - and you cant play the game

What? The game is not playable? I would never had guessed from the "Server Not Available" message on the screen http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

WHo said anything about server not being available? I have been playing it well and good until I installed the new patch, I got nothing saying anything about the server not being available.

i got the new patch today... worked fine...

same old s**t though... 2 hours in... and i'm about 10 minutes from winning on the new map they added in the patch... and server disconnects...

kind of sucks...

they need some sort of leeway system where you can keep playing for 10 minutes or something and then when the servers start responding again then it can "catch up"

i'm posting this while the game can't connect... so obviously it's not "ME"...

new patch worked great for me, no fatal errors anymore, but I got server desync almost every multiplayer game

No problems after the patch perhaps you need to put the finger to your hardrive or bad mem.
