View Full Version : Stuck Val is bugged!

I am in the level where you rescue Val in that trigen "factory" lab. I made it into the room where Val is and when i enter she shouts something as she'd be fighting off enemies but nothing happenes then. I can bump her around but nothing happenes. No enemies no doors nothing.
Gamestopping bug?

has anyone tried shooting val just for fun when this happens? maybe like the cavalry guy (from boat i think) in the training level i ran into who would not die.

Yeah, she gets stuck sometimes. Old age, I guess. I tried shooting her, use-ing her, smacking her, bribing her, chocolate, I even picked a flower and tried bringing that to her.
So I did the only thing a man can do and finally... I divorced her and travelled back in time to a previous level when she still liked me and re-started her.

Tried all that. So the only solution is to play the whole level from start again?

to the original poster: apparently the only solutions are to replay (attempt), or use f2? to skip on to next level, you're at the end anyway, just missing the last 3 trigens and a cutscene, that doesn't really matter tactically.

Bah i am really pissed now. Earlier saves didn't work. (From same level)
God i don't wanna play that level from start again. Who knows if it will work then?
F2 (skip to next spawn point) wont work since this is past the last spawn point of this level and you can't skip the whole level it seems.

Toemse: use \save_game (typed in console, brought down with "~") often. Save just before you get to her so you can restart if it happens again.
Keep it in mind also since she follows you around on ... 2? 3? more occassions, and the same crap happens there.

lol. nothing personal! and my sister's name is valerie too. so think of it as her....kidding. though she threw me down a flight of stairs when i was an infant, so paybacks are a b**ch you know.
