Thats odd. I have a 6600 GT and it works fine. Make sure you connected it to your power supply, and its recieving sufficient power. Reinstalling and re-patching SCCT might help. When you say you can't get the right drivers, what do you mean? Go to www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com) , download the latest drivers on their site.

OMG MY FALSHLIGHT SUXXS. Lol, anyone know a fix for ATI cards flashlights. I'm thinking that the end of the flashlight and the actual display on wall should be connected by a beam like on Nvidia cards.

Heyblink: It's not a problem, it's that ati doesn't support the (insert word here) that the flashlight beem uses.

It doesn't scale the texture for whatever reason.

Make sure that you have the latest video card drivers, and that you have DirectX 9 installed and up to date.

Errr mine works fine for PT's flashlight beam.

I just got a feeling that Ubi was popularising nVidia GFX cards with CT by screwing their game's performance on Ati cards.

Yea, it's a problem with Splinter Cell, not ATI.

The problem is that UBI soft made this game engine with the Nvidia graphic cards in mind. eep in mind CT is a Nvida the way its ment to be played game.

I think that the problem with the light beams has something to do with the alpha textureing thing.

The light beams are nothing but a static mesh grid thing, with an alpha layer texture.

The light itself is a type of projector.

That started happening to me after I got the latest nVidia drivers (84.21) on my 6600 GT. Before that, it was fine.

Same here, have you found any way to fix it other than going back to old drivers? I need the new ones to play oblivion http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Same problem. I installed the newest drivers for Oblivion and now it doesnt work, and when I rollback it doesn't work. I have an agp Asus 6600 vanilla and it worked fine before I installed Oblivion and new drivers. I even uninstalled coolbits and tried rolling back my system..to no avail. I dont mind being a MT laser ***** now but it would be nice to have the light. ION, which drivers did u get? The 84.25 ones?

Ok, to all you n00bs posting "it works fine for me,"

Not only is that not helping, it's making him feel worse. He doesn't care that it works for you, he cares that it doesn't work on his computer, and he wants you to postulate a reason why. If you don't have a suggestion to give him, then don't respond. I hate when people respond to tech support questions: "well it works fine for me." That doesn't explain anything, except that you're a ******* (-).
