Worst shooter of the year?

I wouldn't say it's "The best shooter of the year" since Killzone 2 came out in February. But, this game is great and the best shooter that has come out for the PC this year. I prefer this game personally over Call of Duty 5. And enjoy the story line more then the one in Killzone 2. Yes this game has it's bugs, but just as other games have had troubles at launch, I expect Ubisoft to be on top of it.

Best shooter of the year, don't see much else beating it. The voice acting alone of Ray is worth the price of admission. NEVER has there been a better, more charismatic bad as- as Ray!

Yeah if I think hard there are areas where it could be better. Would have liked stealth elements as well, but it's a great game.

Would have liked to see more of Ray in future but the story is pretty complete. Maybe Techland will make an RPG or GTA type game. The engine can certainly handle the scale.

For two simple reasons it's the best shooter of the year for me. I am on the PS3 and up until now my favorite was CoD: MW. CoJ has taken the title now.

1. Guns hit where you aim. No more lame noobs spamming SMGs to score headshots with help from bullet spread and recoil. Aiming is important and the game rewards skill... more than CoD by far.

2. Guns have perfect balance, because there are no automatic weapons. I loved bolt action only servers in CoD 1+2, but this game now gives me exactly what I want.

Other games may have lobby systems, clan features, level editors, tons of stats and leaderboards, matchmaking features, clan battle feature etc.

But when I want to play a shooter, the only important thing is the core shooter gameplay. In that department CoJ delivers more than any of all the other shooters I have.

Running may be slow, but it's perfectly balanced with the weapons and gameplay. Techland has though about gameplay first and presentation last. They are not just doing as everyone expects from CoD. Running speed is perfect.

From what has been released so far this is the best. The Metacritic score for PC after 11 reviews is 82 which is a very solid score. Best western shooter since Outlaws in my opinion.

i have had this game for less than a day and i love it.

Single player is great, a bit short but the voice acting is fantastic! Ray rock!
Dunno about multiplayer, iv only played a few games, but it seems fair, only there is not many serwers with good quality, amlost all yellow or red. Also it runs smoothly on my medicorate PC. Really game worth its price.

I am just into the single player and I am having a blast.

The multiplayer needs a couple of changes in how you create and join games. One, needs to be able to set a password to your game so you can invite only your friends to a match if you desire.

Other then that a pretty good WESTERN shooter for a change.

Oh, and for the those CRYING "console port...yadda..yadda.."..

This game is the best CONSOLIZED-PC GAME I've ever seen. Personally I think it's the first of it's kind. A truly SUCCESSFUL port!

Now we just need the DEDICATED SERVER FILES so we can host dedicated servers and we'll be good to go!

great warmup for rockstars red dead redemtion. Online it is no battlefield badcompany. Single player it is the best game i have ever played. My only complaint would be to much riding i have saddle soars. That is how real it feels.

I think it's the best FPS shooter of the year. I've been playing CoD: WaW alot, but that's way to unbalanced and unrealistic. This game is pretty realistic, which is awesome. And the game is greatly balanced. SP is awsome. Firstly you have to go after the objective all the time. But later on you can go on side missions and buy lots of guns with your money, that you earn from chests and sidemissions etc. MP is just the best. Sure there is a problem, but hopefully it will be fixed. Like, when im in a game (when im not the host) it suddenly disconnects and it says "there's a problem with you'r connection"... Wich is not correct at all. My connection is perfect. But when im hosting games there's no problems. Anyways, i've been playing MP like a nerd the last days. The modes and maps and classes makes everything perfect. And that there are achivements related to MP is great. Well, let's see, i'm on my third playthrough in 3 days. Haven't replayed a game since CoD4.

And i haven't even tried the MP yet, since SP is so damn good. And once the devs get their Dedicated Servers up and running, i'm all for the MP.

Exactly. Usually I just buy shooters for online (PS3). I did finish CoD4 single player though, but couldn't be arsed to do it a second time. I never bothered finishing WaW completely.

I have already completed CoJ however and I'm doing it again now with Thomas.

But still the online is where it's at. Techland jus managed to make the very core gameplay mechanics perfect. There may be a few issues and missing features... but they can patch that.
