how long do yu take to complet a patrol

lm new to SH4 and don't play with a high realism. Just wondering how long a patrol usualy takes on the realistic setting. a normal patrol for me can take up to 4hr and l usualy sink around 8 to 10 vessels.
the last patrol l did l came across a task force and managed to sink a Konga and acouple of destroyers and they didnt have a clue where l was, one of my best patrols yet. Also l would like to start making movies of my patrols, what programs should l get and can l get them off the net.

Last patrol i did took me about an hour and i sunk about 8 ships, 6 maerchant vessels and 2 destroyers. All with deck gun.

Was patrolling Honshu at the time.

It really depends. For example I don't go back until my torps are used up. Also you can take the time to set up a perfect attack for each ship or just charge in. It all depends on your style of play. Whether you shoot a full salvo at every ship or just one at a time.

How long it takes has more to do with how you play then reality settings. My patrols are usually 2 - 4 hours. More if I find a convoy. I play at 100%.
