I am looking at buying a new Dell Laptop and wondering if anyone is running Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory on any of the following Laptop Graphics cards and how it works:

Nvidia GeFORCE GO 7900
Nvidia GeFORCE Go 7300
ATI Mobility Radeon x1400

I am certian that my SC:CT game will run on the GO 7900 card (256MB) but am wondering about the other 2 games.

thanks!

I am running:

Dell E1705
ATI X1400
Latest Mobility Drivers

I can run SC:CT:

800x600
All settings High
AF: 16x, AA: 0x
Shader Model 3
Shadow Res: High
Trilinear Filtering
Specular Filtering
High Quality Textures
Hardware Shadow Mapping

I can guess it works at about 25-30fps. If I go 640x480, it goes above 30fps.

All in all, very satisfied with the ATI X1400. It runs:

CS:S (High)
Guild Wars (High)
NFS: Most Wanted (Medium)
Oblivion (Low-Medium)
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (High)

If you have the extra money get the 7900. I don't know about the 7300.

I'm a hardware geek, so I reformatted my Dell with my version of XP Pro. I also found the latest Mobility Catalyst drivers, 6.7 I think, and installed that. You can get all the latest drivers off Dell's site.

Also, downloading the Vista Transformation Pack makes your PC and laptop sexy. Get it now. I also got that free skin, I have a dragon skin.
