AVATAR: ONLINE SERVER IS TEMPORARY UNAVAILABLE. TRY AGAIN LATER ??? (solutions)

Hey people,

I bought this game january 31 2009. Ever since that date, when I try to connect via Multiplayer after I type in my login + extra code that you get when u buy the game, my game says:

"The Online Servers are temporary not available. Please try again later".

Does anyone els share this problem with me and if so, does anyone know why and for how long the servers remain offline?

Because right now, I feel like i'm being scammed hardcore by Ubisoft lol, single player is very nice, but it was multiplayer that persuaded me in buying this game...

For me, I get online fine.. but after maybe playing for ten minutes or soo a message comes up saying that there is technical difficulties and it drops everyone from the room. I have been also getting the message saying that the James Cameron Avatar the Game servers are offline and to try signing on another time. What's going on? You cant play for more than 5 to 10 minutes before getting thrown out!

I have found the solution for gaming online...

1. First try to TURN OFF the firewall in your router and in your OS (even win firewall) - might need restart of router and pc
2. You should be able to play the game online normaly now when login to multiplayer...
3. Go back to your router and set-up NAT for your computer and allow port 9103 for TCP and UDP. (search google for NAT and how-to setup your router)
4. TURN ON the firewall in your router and OS.
5. Enjoy the game!

ive opened port 9103(ive check that its open with a program and a few pages) and I still cant play or even create a new multiplayer game

when I turned off the firewall completely I still was unable to play

its not a port thing, for a test ive forwarded every possible port and still nothing

please is there anyone who has any idea why I cant connect to any single game

you have to set NAT in router for your computer as well, it is not only about the port. I could not connect to multiplayer at all, after the settings i have done no problem - i set even higher level for firewall...

I have the ports set in my Nat Settings of my router, and that's all I can do there
In my NAT options I have only Virtual Servers (for port forwarding), Port Triggering, DMZ Host and AGL

The only thing I havent tried yet is setting my laptop as a DMZ but I dont think thats a solution

LOL GUYS!!!

I made a HUGE NOOBISH MISTAKE xD!!

Instead of entering my Game Code, in order to login, I entered my Exclusive Content Code LOL...

(hey, it has the same amount of numbers/letters and I didn't expect to enter any codes at all to play online! /shy)

!!! BUT !!! one thing is strange.. after I finished the RDA Campaign I tried to login on multiplayer again WITH the Exclusive content code, this time it said WRONG CODE, so at that moment I figured out I was using a wrong code, but it made it look like u have to complete a campaign first in order to play online lol??

Though I find playing online very strange, for some reason I can't find a Join Server button anywhere?? All I can find is a Quik Match or Private Game which are all HOST options... I just wan't a list with servers I can join!

Ive double checked, ive entered my game code. Please does anyone have any other ideas on this, I will be greatfull for any idea and help

I can get online ... but when I do "quick match" or anything else, there are no other players, and none appear. Help is appreciated.

Yer I have the same problem now, also i'm being kicked out around every few minutes when I finaly find a server with players, saying: "Lost connection to host"

So in order to play with other players, you got to select one of the places on pandora, click on Quik Match, and hope that some people are already playing.. it just sucks that you can't see if players are already inside the server from the Multiplayer menu.

You bloody got to make connection the entire time and see if anyone is inside, very annoying, I hope Noobisoft will fix this in the near future... Hope this helps (which I doub xD)

I was playing the past two days and didnt have any problems. I'm on the 360.

There are certain times when people are online and sometimes there is no one at all. The game isn't as popular as it once was but those dedicated hardcore avatar fans still frequent the maps, like myself. You just gotta be on at the right time.
