I haven't been able to play Assassin's Creed II all evening. After the game boots up, it just sits there waiting for a network connection. I've been waiting for four hours now. What's going on?

This is a bit absurd... I spend my money on a game thinking I would actually be able to play it. Come on guys, get the DRM server up please or at least provide some kind of status so we are all not in the dark.

Im haveing simalair issues with Forgetien sands, I would if its a corasonding issue.

I have to assume their security authentication server is down, as Uplay itself seems to still be working (it syncs my saves and I can even log in to see my rewards and such). Just wish we could get some real responses.

Yeah, it seems to be the Online Services Platform server, not Uplay.

Checking my luancher log its differently timing out...why now leads me to beleive DRM games is just a bad idea all together.

what makes me laugh about this is their POS DRM system is making me want to go find a hack, and I got the game legally!! Just a horrible decision to go this route...

Friend of mine tells me the hack doesn't let you use your save files. You win this round DRM.

yup that the downside to the hack, it wont let you claim anything that would go becuse of the DRM

Yeah this drm thing is not working to well... someone offer them a better idea, one that will at least give them a fighting chance and not take 24hours to break.
I just got the game not to long ago to see what the hype was all about for the brother hood title and it is not loading up at all. I watched like three tv shows and came back to the same screen.
if this drm crap is on that brotherhood title too, I think I can wait tell it reaches $19 or $29. I am not going to pay full price for a game that makes me wait in line like its the freaking Department of motor vehicles.
I swear this junk game companies keep trying to pull has to end. It is just making pot holes in the industry.

i smell a law suit.
people are spending a lot of money on a game there unable play and services are not being
rendered.a DRM is only as good as the
company using it.if you cant fix the problem
with the servers then fix the game.

Got kicked last night and still not able to play the game I paid 60 dollars for!! total crap.
This is bs!!! what a total waste of money!!! Can't believe I actually paid for this POS!!! Telling you right now Ubisoft I will not be buying Brotherhood if it has the same online requirement as creed 2. This is totally unfair for all PC gamers, when you can get a copy of playstation and xbox games anywhere for 10 bucks or less!!! Searching for a playable crack now, tired of this stupidness!!

As explained in this thread (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8121060208/m/9661038678) Uplay is NOT the online servers platform which requires a connection to play.
If you're having issues with the OSP please post in the game appropriate forum where someone can assist or contact tech support (their direct weblink is in my signature).
As this forum is specific to Uplay posting here will not gain assistance or raise awareness of any OSP game issues.
To prevent ongoing confusion I will lock this thread.
