Hi All,
Here’s a Yak 9U from an unknown unit in April 1945:

And here’s a UT type from 12 IAP of the Baltic Fleet, also in 1945:

These skins are available together here (http://www3.sympatico.ca/greg.smart/GregSM_Yak9U.zip)
I am updating my old templates of the various Yak 9 sub-types to the above standard, and will soon present an example of each.
Cheers,
Greg

I like the second one. First one is to greenish I think, or it looks different when in game?

A washed-out green version is now included in the link above:

In case you want some additional input regarding the actual colouration of post-war Yak-9s, you won't finds a better source on the web that this:

I like the skins, both of them.
Greg can you give some info about unusual numbering of Yak-9U "white 9"? It has also "white 5" on tail, two different numbers.

Hi VPB Kietilman,
Thanks for the great link! I knew of the site, but hadn't seen the page you reference specifically. It’ll be useful in retooling my template to reflect the later all-metal types, which I plan to do in time.
Hi Kuna15,
I’m sorry I do not know the significance of the tail number. But it’s not unique, as it seems to appear here and there on Yaks.
The profile I used is one of many collected here: http://wp.scn.ru/
Cheers,
Greg
