"Fail to Initialize Network Service"

hi,
I just want readers to know that before posting this post, I've searched Pc forum, UBI main page, yahoo, google, and etc.

seems like some of people had similar problem as I do.
I just bought the game and "trying" to connect online.

my computer is Window XP Pro. and meets all the minimum requirements. Internet provider is Verizon Fios.

I have no problem accessing other games but this Vegas 2!!! OMG I spent literally 5hrs. to solve this problem.

please help me.. =(
I kept clicking Login and only msg show up is
"Fail to initialize network service"

I've re-installed game 3times,
downloaded+ installed patched v1.01, 02, 03.
and still didn't work.

Did you make sure windoz firewall or something like that isn't blocking? Mine did the same thing, then I selected LAN, then went back to online and it worked. Odd.

My god they still haven`t fixed the "Fail to Initialize Network Service" error.

The problems is only one of three things

1. Ubisoft Master Server is down (Likelyhood=High)
2. Firewall/portforwarding settings.
3. You using a unicode windows os (xp, east-asian,etc) and ubicraps programming causes this error.

The fix is to use Microsoft appLocale and set the language to something like "U'zbek"

It almost like Ubisoft doesn`t want non-english/euro type countries playing this game.

I've installed files for East Asian languages.
will problem 3 affect me?
Under the advanced tab in Regional and Language Options. I have English (United States) Selected for Language for non-Unicode programs.

For problem 3 why not use English in AppLocale?

then I played with some of these settings below and was able to login.
I didn't change much... Did ubisoft decide to turn on the servers when I was playing with my settings?

below is my exceptions I got checked in windows firewall.

OK em I missing anything?

I've disable both my Anti Virus software & Spyware software.
I've enabled UPnP in my Routers Setup page. and Forward the following ports.

(10130 to 10140) (3074 to 3174) UDP & TCP

Now that I'm logged in I got an other problem. I Can't join anyone's server.

I can host a game without a problem and players can join my game.
I just like to know why I can't join there Servers.
