I know this may have been talked about before but its just what I have noticed.
It seems like the game itself looks a lot nicer in my opinion on the Xbox 360 than on PC. Do they do that on purpose? Yes! It seems like that to me also for Call of Duty 2. I went to my buddies house to see what it looked like and it looked AWESOME! He has a huge Plasma and it looked like it had a lot more HDR or something. It looked a lot neater.
I wish between the two they would both look sweet. Maybe its just the diffrence in widescreen maybe. Then for PC you have a scrunched up head display thing... hmm.
I have been planning on getting a Xbox 360 for sometime (I was going to get one once the next bigger shipments are comming out) but I think that those are the reasons why. Plus it seemed a lot more fun playing Call of Duty 2 with a controller.

I can't say anything about this because there is no video footage of the pc version and no recent screenshots... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

It' smuch of a muchness really.
Any game would look nice and appealing on a plasma screen.
With the PC not even having a video to compare, I wouldn't like to guess which one looks better etc.
And regards a controller, well, it's very much down to what you prefer using. I couldn't imagine playing a FPS game on a controller. It would do my head in too much.
And besides that, you can't really compare the two like for like, due to them being made by different dev teams and that apart from the basic story line, the games are entirely different.
Oh and the PC is more tactical, which automatically appeals more to me.

My opinion only .. I played both the PC and x360 version of the Call of Duty2 demo and while the graphics are more ... cinematic on a plasma HDTV than my comp (x800xt and 1600x1200 res high settings on my comp), its not that far off. Also I found COD2 sucked using a controller.
Just my opinion.

From what I've tried with the COD2 demo at the local store for 360 I noticed that there seemed to be a lot more shimmering and alaising of distant textures in the 360 version. Didn't play that long because I coudn't stand the gamepad for a shooter. Probably a lot has to do with the 360 version is running at 720p rez, or 1280x720, vs running at 1600x1200 on my PC on a smaller screen so the pixels are much more fine. A lot less shimmer.

If you have a nice HD tv and don't mind the controller (xbox 360 is the best) I would go for the xbox 360. You like to play with keyboard and mouse and don't mind the the screen size, go with pc.
I wouldn't listen to this pc>xbox360 **** until we see the pc version in motion.
You cant go wrong with the xbox 360 version. Check out the IGN video preview and do the math. That guys said the the entire staff of IGN is getting 360 version. That should mean something.

LOL Dayglow thats exactly what I did - play the demo at EB games. I thought the graphics themselves were close but I think there were just different effects available w/ the 360.
Pretty much exactly as you stated.

widescreen must be a lot nicer for an FPS.

I have COD2 for the PC and the 360. It's the 1st game I can say that looks better on the consloe then the PC. I love my gaming PC but I have to say for a $400 box to play like it does is cool.. Here is my take:
When they put out COD2 they made the min pc specs 1.4Ghz cpu/256mb ram/ 64mb V card.. If they made it a lot higher they would cut down on the number of PC's that could run it.. With the 360 you don't have to worry about that. They know that every 360 has 3 cores running at 3.2Ghz each so they can push it a little more..
I think you will see this with alot of games for at least a year. Then have 2 cores both running over 3Ghz in most PC's will be more main stream.. They could do it now but thay would sell 1/2 the games..
