Can you be more specific about your graphics card? (model etc).. What i know from notebooks with Intel graphics is that they usually share their mem with the system and don't have advanced 3d (directx) functionality.. the latest (this years) notebooks with nVidea or ATI graphics do have 3d functions, but again it depends of the notebook.
Suitable for gaming:
nVidia Geforce GO 4, FX, 6, 7 series, where the 4 series is the least powerful.
ATI Mobility Radeon x300, x600, x700, x800, x1300, x1400, x1600 and x1800 (all PCI)
ATI Mobility Radeon 7500, 9200, 9600, 9700 and 9800 (all AGP)
So basicly it comes down on your budget.. The best graphics are in the highest series, which offcourse are the most expensive ones, while the lowest series are suitable, but often cannot cope with high system/graphics demanding games.
Just do some research to find out what suits you best.

my card is an intel 82852/82855 GM/GME graphics Controller. and i think that i ahve directx 9.0c. I can run neverwinter nights on my compuer, but i think HoMM5 is more instensive than that
Also if i have only x24 reading speed, will the game not be able to run?

The speed of the reader doesn't matter as long as it's a dvd-rom i think :|. Indeed your video card needs upgrade.

In that case, Here's (http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-010471.htm?iid=graphics+852main&) list with compatible games.. take a look and see if you have these games and how well they run on your system..
Take note that HoMMV's system specs will be close to the newest games on that list, so you can judge for your self if you need a upgrade.
Note2: Not all notebook graphic cards are replace-able..most of them are integrated with the motherboard, so you might need to review your manual if this is the case.
Note3: Although most new graphics cards are directx 9.0c compatible, it doesn't mean they are directx 9.0c compliant.. meaning if a game needs (as in required), for example shader model v3.0 graphics, and your card only supports upto v2.0, then you won't be able to play the game.
So again do some research to find out if your Intel card is still able to run the latest games.
