I thought 'bling bling' was in the dictionary for some months now. It scares the hell out of me when ebonics is beginning to gradually replace english.

I can't seem to find where anyone stated that. Anyone who has spent some time in a classroom is probably well aware that over time, English has evolved. We can find that by studying Chaucer's work alone. However, I can't say I'm a fan of ebonics/slang. When I was younger, putting slang into a dictionary, was right up in the ranks with sacrilege.

I was always under the impression that a dictionary was used to primarily better the form of one's writing and reading habits. Sorry, next time I put the word 'bling-bling' into a school paper, or any piece of work I do for that matter, you can probably expect to find me using my mouse cord as a noose.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif, wow, that's sad. Now more reasons for the hicks at my school to talk like that. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif Can't wait to tell my German/English teacher at school, I'm sure he will be thrilled. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
