First time playing the Might & Magic series. Great game so far but I am confused on a few things.


1. How do I switch crossbowmen and sisters to remote attack only, especially after crossbowmen retaliate after a physical attack?

2. How do I delete the original hero so I can start the game over from the very beginning at level 1?

3. Is there a way to play a non-campaign game that is one player against the computer?

I'm not sure what your asking in question 1. If your refering to ranged attacks sisters don't have one. Crossbowmen will use there range attack by default, but as with all ranged units if there is an enemy standing next to them they can not use there ranged attack to shoot a different unit. Your only options are to spend a turn moving them away from the enemy, and hope they don't follow or wait your ranged unit and have the rest of your army kill the unit standing next to them.

I don't believe there is a way to delete your profile and start over completely from scratch. But if you want to start a campaign over again, just select on the first map of that campaign and press restart mission.

You can set up a custom game so it is just you vs the number of computer opponents you would like to play against. If you want to use a hero other than the ones you have complete campaigns with, you will need to go into the dynasty menus and create a hero there before it will be available in custom games.

Selecting the first mission then changing the class of the hero (might to magic or vice versa) will reset that campaign. Dunno if you can reset the prologue.

1. Sisters do not have a ranged attack. Crossbowmen (and other ranged units) can only make a ranged attack if there are no enemies directly adjacent to them.

2. If you mouse over the hero's portrait you will see a red circle with a slash through it; clicking that will enable you to delete that save. Be aware, however, that it will *also* delete any Dynasty Weapons earned on that playthrough. If you select a character and then a campaign map, you can restart it from the beginning. The default Griffin children cannot be deleted, only custom heroes.

3. Yes. Go to "Create Custom Game."

Also if you wanna, hold left-ALT button before attacking to force melee attack.
