Coming soon to a theater, er computer near you...!

Hurricane Season carries you through 20 missions as a Hurricane pilot flying with the 601st out of RAF Tangmere in the months of July and August - 1/2 of the Battle of Britain. I have 20 more missions planned to take you through the second half of BOB as you get promoted and moved to another base, as RAF Control re-arranges manpower to accomodate for pilot shortages. You will be assigned to fly Spitfires there, in a new patrol region of the map.

But I digress, lets get back to Hurricane Season. A large operational area with surprise locations, weather, detailed storyline & briefings, BOB skins, and four operational bases in your area, any of which can be used to complete your mission, (Tangmere, Warmwell, Exeter & Ford). Skins reflect the markings of your neighboring squadrons and will be seen regularly. Enemy markings will reflect actual squadrons operational for BOB and in your operational area. Most events reflect actual BOB timeline and mission occurrences for that day. The missions are survivable but fun, I recommend full-real. There are 2 rules:
€ Rule One - survive and get home
€ Rule Two - see Rule One

I will ask for a few beta testers before release, but I have a couple more missions to complete. Keep in mind, this is definitely not for weaker machines. Comments are welcome.

Fly_zo,

Your operational area in this campaign stretches along the coast from Weymouth Harbor to just south of Portsmouth Harbor and from the English Channel back to the RAF Middle Wallop area. London isn't involved, sorry. It may be, on the second half of the Battle of Britain (September - October) when I do the next 20 missions. At that point you will have been promoted and transferred to a Spitfire group.

How do you intend dealing with the fact that the Spits in FB all carry cannons.
Will you upgrade the LW planes accordingly?

I was asked again and again to rework my BoB campaign to accomodate Spits after they were finally added to FB, but could never bring myself to do it.

If we actually had a MkII Spitfire in FB then... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It's almost ready for Beta testers, 1 mission to go, bringing it to 20.

Extreme One, there aren't many Spits, a few for flavor and ocassional backup... I regret there isn't an earlier model but we do the best we can with what we've got! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif The tradeoff is that the Spit Vb, which is the one I use doesn't carry alot of ammo... so they are quickly out of the fight as they run empty pretty fast. In the 1 or 2 missions you actually get to fly it, you must be very conservative with your ammo. And I've corrected the fact that I was using the wrong Hurricane model, (someone caught that in one of my screenshots - thanks) so there are already some corrections. Had to do some minor skin corrections then too.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif Holy poo.

I... wow. um. finish it dude.

(I found out the other day when I was working on one of my projects, that you can change the unit for a flight of aircraft, and have the proper lettering show up. For example, I changed a flight of Bf-110's from "German Army-none" to "III/ZG26" and the lettering on the side of the aircraft changed from "ZZ+AA" to "3U+AR" which was the LW's lettering for that gruppe. I don't know if it works for He-111's, but my Stukas became "S2+AN" and I thought that was cool.)

I have made a series of RAF and LW BoB pilots for NTesla's movie 'the Few' never to be released. Are you interessted in putting them into your Campaign?
Unfortunately I'm away from my Computer, on a buisness trip and expecting to be back in a week or so.
Is it too late?

I'd like to request that you post them up as a "BoB Pilot Pack" when you return.

I'm working on the closing intro... so I'm sorry elephant_il2, but I'm past the stage where I can use those skins... but this is only 1/2 of my planned BOB campaign. I'll be relasing it in 2 parts, I may use them in the 2nd half (which has yet to be started) if you're interested.

We're only days away folks!
