They said demo in Aug/Sept, then it was pushed back to Nov, then we heard that UBI wanted to buy Crytek and their game engine and Crytek didnt want to sell.... BUT
about the same time we heard that UBI and Crytek were having internal issues, they quit posting in the forums and we havnt heard anything new lately..

You would think if you wanted to sell something, you would show your customer new and good things about your product.

Unless there is a problem between the two companies and they cant resolve it, so they cant show anything new, like screens or a movie..

They said they would post here regularly and have a web site up "soon", that was a couple months ago.

I have never seen a company ignore a customer like UBI has done. Something isnt right for them to just leave us hangin and not post some screens or post something in the forum.

If its true, I hope Crytek doesnt sell to UBI, they have to much power ($) as it is now and they look at gamers as if we will buy their games no matter how were treated. Not to mention Crytek would lose all their rights to their game engine and have nothing left after far cry, but, UBI would have the engine for future games.

I have to admit, impatience is amusing.

They are probably witholding information for expressed purpose of ticking you folks off. In fact, they are probably trying to delay the game so that newer gaming technology will come out and make the game obsolete on release. They really have no intention of making this game a profitable venture. It's probably vapor-ware anyway....

This is ridiculous. We're speculating for over a month now. People already start saying it is cancelled, and start to call names at Ubi.

Just give some comment and make everybody happy, Ubi or Crytek!!!

All we need is a "everything is alright, we're on schedule, and no, there is no conflict. The website will be up 'soon' and a demo will be out before the game."

If you are not amused, you may wish to broaden your sense of humor. It's just a game. Life will go on long after Far Cry. While new to this game, I'm 40 years old, and I have been gaming since the C64. If you want to talk about experience, have you been gaming that long? I'm not sure how old you are, but judging from your impatience (and your *ahem* amusing tagline graphic), I would guess 20 or under.
