I was curious who purchased the DLC and who didn't. Please feel free to post why or why not. Let's try to keep it clean. Thanks.

Unfortunatly I did. I realize that I shouldn't have had to pay for these maps considering the amount of in-game ads we've seen with this particular title, but deep down I truely believe no matter how many times people complain about it nothing will change. There will always be hundreds or thousands of people willing to pay whatever they can for new content. These people will always outweigh the ones who are willing to actually stand up for what they believe in. I say this knowing I am one of the "sheep" who followed the masses and paid for it without even blinking. I am part of the problem, and so is anyone else who paid for it. After I purchased the maps I went online and did a custom search for every game type and low and behold there were full lists of rooms for every game type with more then half the rooms capacity filled all playing the new maps. Its then I realized there is no fighting it, we as consumers will never win. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I bought them almost immediately after they were out.

I don't regret the purchase either.http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

i got it because a long time xbox buddy (about 4 years) was in the process of dl'ing it and kept telling me to so he didnt have to play with people he didnt know. i honestly wouldent have dl'ed it if he didnt want me to. now i regret it and wish to have a refund because it was not worth it in any way shape or form in my mind..

and bye the way theres already a glitch for getting the maps with out paying, but thats a whole nother story in itself.. i should post it on here to see how fast i get kicked.

I have not bought them yet,and not sure I will.I have friends wanting me to,but I'm trying to wait and see how many more problems were created with the new update and maps.

For me it's a catch 22,I love the game and series, but it seems you spend so much time finding a good game, and then hoping the server does'nt freeze, or you get the disconnected from XBL.Strange this only happens when I play UBI games. So I'm still on the fence on this one.

i did buy it but i don't like how they left off the 5 other maps that OXM said would be in there. Another way to rip us for 5 more maps.

lol, i love it how all the people that were *****ing about it, have now bought it (and think we're buying their excuses)... way to stand up for a cause.

Actually of the 34 people who have voted so far, 9 have not purchased it. That is roughly 25%, actually a little more. Of course we only have a small sampling so far, so we will keep an eye on things. If I was an Ubisoft Rep I would be wondering how I could win those other people over.

As to your "all" statment, I have not bought it Thank You. I know what it means to stand up for a cause no matter how much it sucks that you aren't playing with your friends. Thanks.

P.S. That would also be why I haven't bought GRAW 2.

i bought the maps but they must have been on the disk anyway. look at the dlc size 685.87mb then look at the online demo that was out before the game came out it is just under 985.07mb and that is only attack and defend and t-hunt at the casino.

There was alot of speculation and I believe some screen shots floating around before about the files already being on the DISC. Personally I do not know. I am sure there are some on here who remember the discussion better than I do. I seem to remember that there were references to the Doscala restraunt and Conquest in some code?!?!?!?!?

As frustrated as I am with Ubisoft, I don't know that forming a business plan and including some setup files on the original disc isn't just good planning on their part. If they had done a better job on Public Relations and Customer Support for this game I don't think anyone would be questioning this situation now.

sorry but you can't compare the size of a demo and the size of the DLC.

maps don't really take up that much space. the demo may have had only one level but your fogetting all the sound files, animation, models and everything else. you'd have to be a fool to think themaps we dl'd were already on the disc.

if they were then there would be know need to dl a file that size, just a small file with an activation code.

anyways, bought the maps early yesterday......and i love them, plus bordertown and killhouse are like brand new maps now.

There's a reference to Red Lotus, but that's it as far as maps go. The map itself is definitely NOT on the disc, so it's probably something they had planned and had to abandon due to time or problems.

The text from Assassination and Conquest are both on the disc. That doesn't mean that the game modes are on there - it just means that they were planned for and at least partially completed when the game shipped.

Thanks for the clarification. That is why I posted as I did. While some may think I am negative, they obviously don't pay attention to how much information I take in before I post on a subject. Not knowing for sure what was on the disc and what wasn't, I prefer not to judge Ubisoft on this one. Thanks.

I just wanted to point out that if the maps don't take up much room, then theoretically they could have been on the disc right? Just because the download was large doesn't really mean the maps couldn't have been on the disc.

Sorry, just playing the Devil's advocate. I don't think the maps were on the disc, although I wouldn't doubt some code was already in place to make way for the maps and game modes. As I stated before, it's called planning ahead. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Other than the Redux maps, the other maps work well for assasination only.

some of the code could have possibly been on the disc, it's not so much if they had enough space on the disc, it's more about time.

a game usually has to ship by a certain date and sometime they have to cut things before they were finished( take the new game modes for example).

i bought the pack and I think it i absolutely worth it. I love the new maps because there is so much to them. Even though I only like it for Attack and Defend mostly, I always thought how well Calypso Casino was made. These new maps make me think that too.

Assassination is great too. Last night more then a couple times it would end up me alone keeping the VIP from extracting with 4 other guys on the team. There is not too many greater feelings then to see the pack of guys run right by you and snipe only the VIP with an sv98 right before he extracts and win it. Doscola is great for that.

I purchased these maps because Vegas as of now is the only shooter on the 360 that I really like. I of course wish it wasnt as arcadey as it is but it is what it is. If paying 10$ for 3 new maps 2 redone ones and 1 new game mode and that gets me another 3 months out of it then too me it was worth it.

if ubi having to cut things before the launch (after pushing the game pack in the first place) there were alot more issues they would have needed to deal with before these. and if they were like fox said. you wouldnt have had to pay more for them so shouldnt that just add fuel to the fire over not needing to pay for these maps
