Anyone else tired of the UBIquitous use of limited perspective on platform games?

This is a superb edition in many ways and enhances the series but seriously in over a decade they haven't come up with better ways of building a puzzle than restricted angle jumps, runs, fights, etc,..? It's no longer a 'leap of faith', it's just dull...

Tired? No. But I do think they could be more innovative. In just the few seconds it took to let the reply popup load, I managed to think of a new "puzzletype".

You would be primarily going upwards using different move types, such as running up a wall, pushing back off of it into a backflip, land on the wall behind you for just one moment, then push off into a dive to a pole, which you use your forward momentum to flip around, releasing so that you fly upwards and catch another pole with your feet, flipping the rest of your body around quicker, then you draw your knees up and land on said pole before jumping into a narrow tower-like shaft which you climb by jumping off of one wall and then onto another, and so on.

My point being that it's not that hard to think of ways to make and implement new, more interesting and varied moves.

So yeah, I think they should definitely come up with more "puzzle" types. But I think the games are great regardless.
