Greetings! I recently created a new forum dedicated specifically to TMNT Smash Up called the Turtle Dojo. By no means do I wish to draw anyone away from the Ubisoft forums, but if the community for this game is going to continue to grow and thrive, we need a central fansite location for people to discuss things in more detail. It's my hope that Turtle Dojo will become that focal point for the Smash Up community. The Dojo has forums for discussing strategy, stages, tournaments, individual characters, and more.

Very nice idea. I was wondering how the community for this game will turn out and whether it is possible to raise this community to a similar level as the Smash Bros. community where you can discus and analyze the many aspects of the game and create a competitive scene.

Now we "just" have to get more people's attention to the website so it can slowly grow and amplify the hype for the game.

Than when the game finally comes out and we have gathered enough people, it will work it's magic.

(sorry if some things don't make much sense or if there are some typos or whatever...It's 9am over here and I havn't slept yet xD )

I registered as well ^ ^ TMNT Smash-Up will defiantly have a community that will discover strategies, create tiers, and discuss different techniques. It will not be the size of the smash community though, no way xD

Unfortunately, it's going to be quite an ordeal getting the word out about the Dojo.

... I don't see Smashboards giving TMNT: Smash Up subboards at this point. This board really needs to take off. We need to start brainstorming about how to get the word out.

Thanks, Crispy! I noticed that last night too. It seems Google was a little too quick for me (I've been working on the site for about a couple weeks now). I'll try to get that fixed by this weekend, and I'll be trying to find ways to boost exposure too. In the meantime, I imagine word-of-mouth will be our best bet in the beginning, and if anyone wants to discuss other ways to get the word out, we can talk about that in the Suggestions forum. crispy4004, you are a GODSEND! Thank you for that link, it was the one of the most informative bit of, well....info that I have read in a long time. I'm considering it an "update" of sorts. I'm glad about the no tripping, the tilts and grab reversal/escape. It also stated that every character would have a wall climb/jump. Does that mean Utrominator will have one too? That will look very wierd!

TurtleFreak recently updated the site with a friend codes listing. When you enter your code in your profile, it'll show up right next to your avatar. You can also see friend codes in the members listing. You can ask others to add you in this thread (http://www.turtledojo.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=263); there's also whole subforum (http://www.turtledojo.com/viewforum.php?f=39) dedicated to matchmaking now. A chatroom's (http://www.turtledojo.com/php/chat.php) up that can be used the same way.

Not encouraging anyone to not trade codes here, but this should help facilitate the process.

People are already working on character guides. There's been a few technique discoveries as well, including how to do a Forward-B Smash directly out of a run (yes, it's possible).

Don't forget, there's a friend code exchange going on at the Dojo as well.
