One of the problems is that no matter what the loyal players say UBI seams to think it knows whats in the best interest of the gamers. There have been countless requests for this and that to be added or changed and it falls on deaf ears. One of the best features in the original GR was the ability to run a server and have other people direct connect by IP address. It just seams like UBI wants to stick its nose where it dont belong. We dont need baby sitters watching over our every move. Its time to listen to the wants of the people that keep you guys employed. Bring back the basics....

This thread is actually in the wrong forum. Direct IP connections are for the PC versions of a game.

Hey WhiteKnight77 I think you need to open your eyes a little wider. From what i can see we are in the PC version of the forum's.

check out what the moderator (aka UBI representative) has to say in some of these posts and see what that tell you.

A moderator is a volunteer and doesnt officially represent Ubi.

Never used direct IP connection up until a few months ago. I have to say its a great toy so I too hope they'll put it in.
But for ubi's online gaming: never had a problem, bearly ever had lag. If I ever had a problem, it was because of the stupid programs Ubisoft used to make multiplayer possible, such as gamespy.
