View Full Version : Are you kidding me, you locked down the "Live Guest" thread?

Why on earth would someone lock down the thread? Believe me, no one wants to be here with this issue...

I realize that almost anything can be interprited multiple ways, and I can totally see both sides. Here is what the manual states...

"Signing in to Xbox Live

Selecting Xbox Live will bring you to the Xbox Live Sign-In Screen. If you're playing Split Screen, you and up to one Guest can play on a sinle Xbox 360 system. After you sign in, each player can edit and modify his or her identity.
Once you've signed in, your ready to start playing Rainbow Six Vegas Multiplayer"

I would say that the big issue is the use of the word "Guest". In XBOX live, guest is a person that does not "sign in", does not have an XBL account. There are plenty of games that allow a "Guest" to come online with you and play. The statement above would lead one to believe that this is possible.

I truely thought that this was possible based on the reviews and statments that I read prior to purchase.

So what people are here for is to get clarification from <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] on the paragraph on how it should be read, and if there is any future possibility of taking a "Guest" into co-op online Story or Terrorist hunts, like that other game of yours, GRAW.

If not, that's fine, lesson learned. <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b], like other vendors out there, will then make the "rent first then buy" list. That's unfortunate, but true. Hopefully <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] will think that it's unfortunate enough to adjust the code in production...

I cancelled my preorder and I plan on renting after "the patch". Sad but true.

Given Ubi's track record with GRAW, that's most likely some time mid to late 2007.

We want split-screen http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I have a gold account and so does my brother, we have only one xbox 360 and one TV, due to the addictive nature of this game I'm sure there will be disputes of "whos turn is it" split-screen would be easily possible, if you can play co-op with better graphics then why isn't it possible to play split-screen online with even lesser graphics?

Please <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b], update us on this.

The only person demonstrating a lack of maturity here is you and your cohorts. No where in the purchase price of the title is a forum included or guaranteed. This board is provided free of charge. Yet you insist on violating the rules of this free service - rules to which you agreed when you signed up - and insult the persons providing this service...and all over a video game. Maturity? You wouldn't recognize it if it popped out of the toilet and bit you.

Yes indeed, your lack of maturity and your overflowing teenage angst are quite evident. Were you seriously interested in assisting Ubisoft, then you would attempt to do so in a mature and constructive manner. But you keep bumping into that conundrum...the one where maturity is required... and you can only scratch your head over such a concept like a dog that has just been shown a card trick.

Your posts are not for the purpose of assisting <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] but rather for the edification of your incorrectly deemed sense of betrayal. You in fact are the one trolling. Anyone attempting to misdirect the board from other than it's intended purpose is a troll. Throwing diapers against the wall in a fit of madness and anger was NOT the forum's design. Troll? That would be you. This board was designed expressly for the purposes outlined in the forum rules to which you agreed but now choose to ignore. Tantrums have a way of allowing the child to alter the truth in his mind in order to feel justified as he slobbers and flings himself idiotically against the floor over some plastic toy denied.

If you think you will engender assistance by acting like a brat you are wrong. As somone that has performed advisory work for game companies I can tell you that in their limited time devs skip over posts such as your as they are readily recognized for the tripe that the are.

You can beg all you want and no we are not buddies. Not until you grow up and realize you get the respect you give and that were you seriously interested in assisting <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] you would state the problem, the conditions under which it occurs, the solution, and why your solution should be implemented.

But as I stated, solving a prolem isn't your goal, it is to feel justified, get something off your chest, have a fit, **** your diaper, anything but actually contribute a mature response that may actually help resolve the issue. Such simple matters of cause and affect are beyond the mind of the mob acolyte.

People such as yourself are the reason the ignore list was created. Welcome to it as I and anyone else won't have to bear further witness to your infantile attem, pts to justify insulting people over a video game. You can attempt to avoid the truth if you want, but denial isn't just a river in Africa anyomore.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

You can explain to us over and over again how mature you are (like anybody cares) and keep trying to look smart by using big words, but the fact remains that there is a feature clearly described in the manual that is not in the game. It would be nice to hear if that's an error in the manual, something that was cut at the last minute, or something that might be addressed in a future patch.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Jester I agree an answer on the status should be forthcoming. But the question shouldn't be insulting by calling people liars.

As long as everyone is into reading what the manual says, they need to read the back of the case where it says:

On the title of the last thread...

Ok, perhaps the writer should not have used the word LIAR, but locking the thread for that is a bit iron fisted. If that's the mood of this board, I might have walked into the wrong place... With the net and much of the talk online, i've learned to look past those kinds of statements. I'll give you this. I find most of the chatter far less over the top than in some other titles, and that's a big plus for the game... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Again, my goal was to get clarification for page 15 in the manual. I hope that can still happen. Other than this and the power of SMGs (at this point, what's the purpose of a AR?) I like R6:Vegas allot. I was just hoping to share the fun with "guests" that come to the house beyond 2 v the AI.

We are requesting something in this thread and the other thread...that online splitscreen be added to RB6. I also dont see why people posting a thread requesting something in a game be locked. We cant control what other people say. Instead of locking the thread why not remove the obscene post. I also want to put my request in for online splitscreen as I did in the original post.

You can attempt to avoid the truth if you want, but denial isn't just a river in Africa anyomore. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

But this board really isn't free. I have bought just about every Clancy and <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">UBI[/b] game made. Now, lately, since the 360 came out, those games are 60 bucks a pop.

I bought this game for the multiplayer, which is extemely flawed. By all of the money I have spent on <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">UBI[/b] games, I have paid my dues to use this board. Granted, a person should have the deceny to voice themselves with a little repsect. But just because you or anyone else disagrees with how they present thier side give you NO right to act the same way.

I believe <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">UBI[/b] will fix the problems....when, only the Lord knows. But the purpose of this thread is very valid. The manual compared to the game is incorrect. What is stated in the manual is a lie.

Remember, no one poster is better than the next nor are thier opinions any less significant just because someone doesn't agree with them.

Lead by example. <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">UBI[/b] can defend itself.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Um, you probably won't think that once you are playing it... Oh it's a decent game but it's no R6.

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Read the forum rules. It should have been locked. Posting on this board is a privilege, not a right. That privilege alows questions and comments, not accusations and insults. They should lock this thread as well. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Posting on these boards is apriviledge, not a right.

Well beg to differ buddy.

So basically you're saying that we should thank god <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">UBI[/b] has these forums up? Wrong.

Apparently with your statement it just shows us your maturety.

These forums are used by UBISOFT to help them reach the games fans and try to make the game better.

Priviledge, yes it is, but not for us, It's a priviledge for UBISOFT, that people take time out of there lives to post problems and opinions to help UBISOFT out with there games.

Why don't you go back to that hole you were in troll.

As far as I'm concerned if it wasn't for people like the poster of this thread UBISOFT wouldn't even exsist.

The only thing I'm amazed at is the they let asses like you the "priviledge" of posting here. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

However, if <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] hadn't provided a forum, we would have gone somewhere else, and then posted the same questions there, sent a petition to <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] saying that the game was unplayable under current build and then they would have had to fix it in a very short time or face large repercussions, so on the whole I'd say that they were better off for our being here.
