I definately agree.... Having had the original version 6 and I think 7 briefly years ago, I just tried out Heroes 4 today, and I'm so confused why people like the newer series. Because to me it seems a major "downgrade" from the original. But I guess it's for a certain nich of person, more strategy and city building rather than strategy and action like M&M was. The original was definately "Celestial Heaven" too me.
Although, I'm sure the new 3D version of Heroe's will be a bit funner. The orginal I think is way better though.

I'm like gosh.... So boring is this Heroe's M&M. (no offense all) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
So, we definately need a new original Might And Magic, we all left hanging!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

EpsiTrog -

The Might and Magic Tribute game website was changed after the guy who maintained that website vanished. The new site is:
http://www.mmtribute.castlegobs.nl/

Either way, this isn't Might and Magic X. I do really hope they release an X. Those Might and Magic games are some of my favorites.

@Leeuniverse:

You do know that Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic are two completely different games, right? They were from the same producer and their stories intertwine, but that is where all similarities end.

Are you serious? You make it sound like Heroes of Might & Magic 1-4 (a turn based strategy game) is the sequel to Might & Magic 1-9 (an RPG)??? Their 2 completely different genres of games that were created along side each other in story and didn€t replace each other at all and were directed at different target audiences. That€s like saying Quake 3 is the sequel and a €˜downgrade€ to Command & Conquer lol!!!

From the RPGer's point of view, the story is decisive, not the type of game.

Ya, when I first heard of Heroes I was out of the loop for a long time and didn't know they were different games, but having learned differently, I definatly am not into the Heroes series. If you'll notice my post above, I do differentiate between the two, though strongly prefering the original.

I guess I'm just not into these kinds of games.
I like the realizm of the originals, that's why they seem like a downgrade for me.
