So, coming off a bad week of playing this game wherein pretty much all of my Hardened armored units have been killed (Tanks, Gunships, and Transports) leaving me with Recruit level armor, I am playing Arribida (JSF on PS3) against some scrub SGB player on Arribida. I'm sending out pretty much pure Rifleman units, securing Alpha, Lima, and Yankee right off, sending the Alpha platoon to Zulu and Deep Striking Bravo and Sierra, pretty much standard fare.

I end up upgrading to LV.2 Electronic Warfare from Lima and Yankee and send the Sierra platoon to capture Foxtrot. Apparently, he had set up his Landing Zone there, so to stop them from being killed I EMP his units.

Well, it turns out he had just finished dropping a Tank Unit, two Gunship Units and two Artillery Units when I begin securing Foxtrot. My EMP knocks all of them offline and I begin capturing Foxtrot, defeating the Engineers holed up there. Then, he WMDs Bravo, where I had Recruit Riflemen set up.

Annoyed, I EMP his entire force at Foxtrot again once they start firing and drop a Kinetic Strike right in the middle of it - I like to call it "Dropping the Hammer". 6 Units killed. I secure Foxtrot and he crashes Lima, at which point I secure Delta and end the match by securing all Uplinks.

Anyone who used to watch Sealab 2021 should recognize that phrase from one of the episodes of the first season. Murphy hosts a radio show that the Coast Guard tries to stop and at the episode the captain ofn the Coast Guard ship gets fed up with it and goes "That's it. Drop. The ****ing. Hammer."

At which point Sealab explodes.

One of my favorite episodes from that show.
