Hi all !
As you’ve probably heard Red Steel 2 will be released during the first quarter of 2010, instead of winter 2009.
We understand some of you were impatient to play Red Steel 2, but this delay serves one purpose: provide you with the best possible game in the end.
The team asked for more time to be able to polish the game & come with a better overall result. That way we can ensure the level of quality shown at E3 on the full game.
We will continue to regularly bring you new videos & images until then, so stay tuned for more Red Steel 2!

Ubi_wuzzi, you make me curios; what does the polishes mean? Longer game? Blood or other effect (like dust) when you hit a guy? Multiplay? What aspect(s) of the game are they polishing?

That's fine with me. I played this game at E3 and I loved it!!! It is the first Wii game that I was like, I HAVE TO HAVE THIS!!
Don't worry it's worth the wait. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

Just out of curiosity, how much in advance of a release date do you have to actually compelete a game? For example, if it's releasing January 30th, 2010, do you need to get it completely finished by December 30th, or what?

Let's hope for an early first quarter release. So many games are being pushed back to 2010 instead of the holidays. They could either lose money from not taking advantage of the time of year or profit from a better economy next year and a less crowded field of competition.

You played it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif? You actually played what could be the greatest motion detection game ever http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/inlove.gif? Ok gang, lets stop asking the developers about this stuff and talk to a real person who actually played the game as a fan http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

Ubi_Wuzzi, I am not going to waste your time, by asking any questions. You and the team at Ubi have probably heard us since E3 if not earlier. Ubi is going to have to keep a lot of things under their hat, b/c that is what corporations do. I am going to be a strait-shooter. Ubi knows what we want, and the fans obviously know what we want. The time to pay up in first quarter 2010, don't disappoint. Ubi has a lot of fans who are supportive and excited. In short, the gang and I wish you and the Ubi team the best of luck and I hope Ubi can back up there promises to deliver what looks like the best Wii game ever. Everyone on the blog, think it's time to get these developers fired up and ready to create perfection. GO UBI!!!!!

We should should all learn to appreciate delays. It's a developer's way of showing that they care for our experience, prioritising that over cashing in early. In the end, we get a better game and ubisoft could possibly generate more sales. So thanks guys, take as much time as you need!
