Ok, I realize that this was a bit of a stretch, so here's some ideas of gameplay mechanics. Sorry, I realized that the original post was too much like BF2.
1. I want 3 man squad battles like in offline Island Thunder on xbox. It's cool to have 2 guys backing you up, and being able to switch to them.
2.Need all of Mexico City to be playable, every building, be able to go inside all the buildings and then go upstairs & take up a sniper position. Need to have interior things like couches & stuff so ragdoll looks cool if a grenade is tossed into the window. This would be especially cool if each player had 2 AI backing him up, you wouldn't feel abandoned in such a huge map.
3. Customizable map, for user hosted games. I want to be able to see the city of Mexico City from a bird's eye view and set boundaries around a part of town I like.
4. Dedicated Servers. Red Storm, UBI, & M$ should host dedicated servers that have all of Mexico city playable with a player limit of 500 or something, a huge SharpShooter match. This may seem like a stretch, but if ever player is actually 3 (they each have 2 AI teammates) it would be super duper fun.
5. Great networking to prevent lag.

From the looks of things, you already have BF2. Why should GR be similar to it?
Even if the maps for GRAW are 1kx1k meters square, you could walk 1000 meters in about 7 minutes. The need for a vehicle isn't there on such small maps.

Yeah 500 players? Is to much...it won't feel like OGR and from the looks of it you seem to want a "war" game...meaning lots of people and lots of "boom".
But the ghosts aren't the ones that fight in the war they do more of the important non-massive soldier stuff.
And even if they did the things you said people would start calling GR a Battlefield 2 rip off. GRAW should be it's own game and not do what most army games do.
That was the main reason why I got into GR because it was in it's own class and should be kept that way.

Everyone is saying GRAW should be it's own game, yet at the same time saying it should be like OGR.
Someone list the stuff they want from OGR for GRAW, then someone check off what they included already.

That is exactly the point. OGR was very unique, and many of us want it to stay that way. There are many all out combat games, but there are not any stealthy recon games.

The keyword word that is missing from GRAW is "Recon". It's in there only as a recognizable attribute to a game. Like a brand name tag so people recognize it. It's there but doesn't mean anything anymore.
The game is too far into development to change so for the old school fans who loved ORG and GRIT may eventually get something along those lines down the road. Well, we can always hope. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
The thing that get's me though is the slap in the face the console players get with the better differences going to the P.C. crowd, as if we are some 12 year olds who don't know anything more than how to run and gun. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
Come on Redstorm.....give us something we can sink our teeth into, put some thought behind. Why do you feel the P.C. crowd should get a more tactical game than the console crowd? Was it not our money that got you to where you are? Wasn't it on Xbox where you really took off? Then aren't we entitled to some more tactical aspects? Not all of us are just going to roll over because you feel that "we" want a more run and gun type game.
I'm sure GRAW will be good, but is it going to recapture the feel of OGR even with all the space age hype? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I think GRAW would be awesome if it was just OGR, with the gun inview & better graphics with safe spawning code so no spawn camping

from what i beleive a solider is told to do what he is order to do so if he is order to help fight a war with a bunch of marines then he fights a war...they dont always do small ops. but i do belive that ghost recon should stay"in it's own class and should be kept that way" but i wouldnt mind a game with 500 players on each side like ghost recon style of game play http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

It better recapture the feel of OGR or it will be the last GR game I pick up for a console. I have a feeling that I will be just as dissappointed with GRAW as I am with GR2, except the graphics.

I think my ideas would make for an awesome game. It would keep the OGR feeling of, "If I peek around this corner I'll die." because 30 guys could be pinning you down.
This may not be necessarily better, but I think it'd be fun, I guess Red Storm & UBI's tester will decide.
