If your PC is rebooting on its own, the problem is most likely at the hardware level. The drivers that run your hardware could cause the PC to shut down to prevent any damage to your system.

Try using different video card and sound card drivers. Update your sound card drivers first and see if that fixes the problem. If that fails, use a different video card driver.

See if that fixes the rebooting.

I hav tried the 185.85 version of nvedia driver. The detection tool is now supporting the game. i hav also tried the realtek ac 97 audio driver a4.06. but the prob remains. what should i do now.

Post your DXDIAG for analysis - more than likely nothing will be found but it is worth a look.

If your PC is rebooting on its own though, you are still looking at a problem at the hardware level. Every piece of hardware on your machine is run by drivers. I will not be able to walk you through updating/reinstalling all of them.
