I've been trying to work that out since I got R.R.R for Christmas. I personally think he's about..13, 14. (He doesn't look very old.

He's 13.

Xenon09

It's difficult to judge because he's the only of his kind.

I'd say: R1 11, R2 19, R3 22, RR 22.

R1 : 7-9, R2 : 13-14, R3 : 15-17, RRR : 18

Hmm...<watches videos on youtube>
Uh
R1: 6 or 7 (He looks so CUTE!)
R2: 9 or 10 (or 11)
R3: 12 or 13
RRR: 13 or 14

He's not that young in R3 or RRR. ^^

Is he not? He looks it. (seriously, he looks like a teenager in RRR.

No he looks older than 14.

Hmmmm...

R1: Could be anywhere between like 6 and 400. Best guess 30

R2: Does Rayman have a 'normal' age? I sort of get the impression that his age isn't like human age, therefore he's probably lived many years but is equivalent to teen/young adult.

R3: I'd have to say 14.

RHR: Well, could easily be adult. More likely between 14 and 19.

RRR: No idea. Probably just... adult? IDK

RRR2 and 3: Sorry, haven't played these two, but I'm guessing I don't want and therefore will never know what age he appears to be on these two games http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

R1: dunno neva played that one

R2: about 13, same age as me

R3: he looks 17 to me

RHR: same age, since this happens straight after R3

RRR for the GBA: he looks 20

RRR for everything else: yeah 22 or something

Hey, hey, wait hold up! I can understand about not knowing his age, but only one of his kind? I thought that too, but I remember about Tarayman and the other citizens in Rayman 1? Oh, think about that...Maybe he's the only one of his kind left after 1 because of Admiral Razorbeard's killing of Rayman's land and people, why he kidnapped Rayman I have no clue...

Although, RRR2 pretty much killed him...

He is certainly at least a teenager in R1 since he is as tall as all teh adults in the game, such as Tarayzan, the Magician, and the Musician and his wife. And he's taller than the Musician's son.
Sio those who think he is a small child....no, you're silly. Seriously, how would a five year old save the world anyway?

Rayman_Addict41
01-26-2009, 04:58 AM
FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!
Do people here have no imagination?!
Don't forget, this is not the real world. And even if he is as tall as all those charecters, he isn't as tall as Ly. Is Ly a half-giant hybrid? I think not!
Anyway, consider Zathura. The boys in that are, like, seven and ten. They still manage to overcome all that! And there are plenty of reasons why Rayman is possibly a small child:

1: He's too cute. Seriously, you do not get teenagers that cute.
2: He pulls faces to try and scare his enemies off. That, and other examples of his actions, are based around the way he thinks. And in my opinion, he thinks in the same way as a boy who isn't any older than seven.
3: The little twirly, dancing thing at the end of each level/section. I think that if you saved the world as a teenager, you wouldn't be doing that.
(And yes, Sonic the Hedgehog does something like that in earlier games. SO WHAT?! This isn't Sonic we're on about.)

That's just my opinion. Everyone has theirs.

Well, if we take it from the year Rayman was born (created), he's 14 right now. 'Cause he was created in 1994.

Rayman_Addict41
01-29-2009, 12:28 PM
No offence, but he's be fifteen. 'cos it's 2009.
But that leads to another question-When's his birthday?

Raydragon
01-29-2009, 12:55 PM
Wasn't he created in 1992?

Rayman_Addict41

That would make him...<counts on fingers>
17.
Sounds about right.

aeojrtfao
01-30-2009, 04:51 PM
There is a very good reason Rayman is shorter than Ly. Ly has legs, Rayman doesn't.
Rayman's head is roughly the same size as Ly's, as is his body. However, his feet are very close to his body on account of his limblessness. He's like a dwarf in that respect. But he is still as tall as the adults in Rayman 1 and has a very deep, un-childlike voice.

aeojrtfao
02-04-2009, 01:21 AM
How can you think he is 6 in Rayman 1 when he has such a deep manly voice? In all the games he has a voice far deeper than any child. Hell, if his a child he would probably be voiced by a female voice actor like many fictional children such as Bart Simpson.
Seriously, when he says "Yeah" or "No problem" can you possibly imagine A five or six year old sounding like that?
And if he is that young he must be abnormally tall for someone of his species, as I stated above.
And one simple giveaway: His name is Rayman.

Also, your point about the twirly dance...I'd do that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Did you read the manual? In the intro in the manual near the end of the intro Razorbeard says Rayman will be his most obedient slave. And in the game he was in the special area probaly because they wanted to break him into submission.

He's 18 or over. He's RayMAN not RayKID. (Hey that would be an awesome new character) Plus, it says in the Rayman 3 2D Madness minigame that "Sometimes Rayman remembers being a kid, when everything was in 2D." So there.

I dunno sometimes he seems like anywhere from 13-30 to me cos a little kid saving the world just seems weird, well except link in zelda. But what about Globox? How old do you think he is? I'd say 40-50 as he is a father and seems big and fat.

How looks quite young but he sounds much older (at least his English voice in Rayman 3), it makes him sound middle-aged. I've alwyas tought him to be in his early 30's in the third game so he must be in his mid-20's in the first game. But then it makes Rayman's character more comical (in sad sense) if we presume he's a middle-aged bachelor. Oh well, it doesn't seem to bother him.

In moi opinion...
R1: 12 (the "YEAH!!!!" means NOTHING TO ME)
R2/RR: 15/16, possibly a bit older, his voice is no kid voice. It's kinda high cos his bodily size is diminutive compared to humans like us. Besides, whats a kid doing being best mates with a father of 650+?
R3: 17/18. People age.
All Rabbids games: 19/20. There's a certain level of youthful jack-the-lad-yness about him, like responsibilty hasn't quite come his way. My cousin's sleepin' under a park bench, I see Rayman doin' the same if his world was anything like ours.

12 isn't too unreasonable to believe though.

From Wikipedia:
"His original story from the Atari Jaguar version of Rayman claims he was originally a boy named Jimmy, brought into his game and set in a world called Hereitscool to fight the evil."
From this we deduct:

R1 -> 9-12
R2 -> 15-16
R3 -> 17-18
RRR -> 19-20
