Berlin Mission

OK folks. I've been playing a couple of weeks. I did the Arcade and Ace Duel for each plane that's available and have "Upgraded Ace" status on all my planes.

I've made it to Berlin and get past the first 2 missions without much problem but I just CANNOT get those ME-262's!!!

Any suggestions or tips?

Sorry, but I can't make it through defending the second wave of bombers. What usually happens for me is I just keep playing the mission over and over and over again, and suddenly I make it through. Not much help, I know, but it is what works for me.
Maybe Belfastkiller (great name) has I idea ot two for both of us.

Well I finally got by it but not in the way you proposed though that is usually the way I do it myself.

As I said, I had done the Arcade stuff and the Ace Duel but I never noticed any "improved performance" in any of my fighters. Then yesterday I was looking at all the menus and I clicked on "Player Status" and then "Hangar". There I noticed in the top right of the screen it said "Default" but also had an arrow suggesting there was another setting. I clicked on it and it said "Ace" and I realized that you have to go into the hangar and switch all your planes to "Ace" to see the upgraded performance in the game!

With my upgraded P-51 I wiped out the ME-262's on my first try! Now I figure that with each plane you should complete the Arcade and Ace Duel to obtain the upgraded version before attempting the campaigns. I'm sure a lot of folks are saying "Duh"! but I'm an old fart, relatively speaking (46), and am not up to speed on video game setups but I do enjoy playing the war games, MOH, COD, EIB, etc.

Younger than me bub. Yes, Ace should give you a noticably different paint job. You are saying that those hard fought upgrades dont take effect until you click that switch to ACE?
While I'm here, what are hit points?

i think the ace just gives you a noticably different paint cause i noticed the differance in online dog fight maybe thats what i thought and i was just lucky lol.
when you pick your plane and its upgraded you see the stars that are filled in
but ive all my ace turned on with all the new paint work i onley done it after reading this post lol.
as for berlin that second wave was hard everyone has their own style.
i got it after a few trys wasint easy
i used the guns alot and fired rockets 2 at a time instead of wasting them and waiting on them loading up again.
plus useing the enemy cam alot put me of cause it kept jumping to a different target i was able to take some planes down with out useing the enemy cam.
as for the me 262 s i got them easy enough i fired rockets in their path i just judged were i thought they were going to go and fired a few rockets in their way

yea what does hit points mean.
guys what we realy need is to organize a couple of teams and have a few good matches.ctb is a good mode but ya need a full game to get a good run at it.
just hope the new patch comeing solves the joystick issue so more can play the game.
a chat lobby is what we need so ubi give us a lobby and ect in a future patch make the game worth all this wait let us know you care for for the pc gamers lol that would be the day

I think hit piots are the amount of damage an aircraft can take.
