Here's a little demo I did of the P51 flown by Joseph Peterburs.
My Squadron mate, Puffman, is doing another of his drawings of Peterburs with his P51. Peterburs has shown an interest in Puff's work and Puff wanted to show him how his bird looks in IL2.
So here it is:
Streaming version HERE (http://weebitfilms.blogspot.com/2008/03/josephines-beau-screen-test.html)
Download version here (http://files.filefront.com/josephines+beau+demo+divxzip/;9741790;/fileinfo.html)
It's only a demo, and I know the B17 skins are not accurate. I was going for some good metallic skins to accentuate 'plane shine'.

Looks good Joe and I like the soundtrack. About how long 'til it's ready for release do you think.

Hi Joe, looking very nice so-far.
I notice you were using the ***** *** in the credits, it really is very good isn't it? If only it was available in the retail version! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
I'll be using it too as it gives so much more scope for movie-making...wonder what the reaction will be?
Cheers MP.

Oh you cad, that was the same music I used in one of my films (cant remember which, too long ago)
Can I claim royalties ?
One comment Joe. Like it or not the NORMAL audience (NON IL2), get bored very fast when they see long shots and long clips of aircraft.
Maybe that is why we never get accepted, we are too romantic and too hung up with the view of aircraft actually flying.
Others get bored seeing that, they want fast cuts, action, real people and story. Its not just you, I am also realising that now as well.
Any chance of a PM to me also, seeing as I helped you with your Sony camera shake http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Totally agree, BA.
However, this movie was made for an audience of 1. I made the long slow shots just so Mr Peterburs could see his bird. His respone:
'I have watched your demo of "Josephine's Beau" - it is absolutely great!'
That's a great honour, and also respect to the skinners Jesters Ink, Fly By Shooter and Phas3e (I missed Phas3e in the credits, sorry - he had forgot to sign his skin as he pointed out in the simhq forum.)
Mr Peterburs has offered any help he can to turn this into a movie. I'll be delighted to accept his offer and will start work on the project sometime after Summer (in answer to your question WskyStr8). At that point, I'll have to make the action faster moving to reach a wider audience.
He has sent me a youtube link of his meeting with Walter Schuck. He also is sending me photos and more details on the actual events of the battle. With his permission, here are some pics he has sent so far:

Wow, absolutely fantastic to get the endorsement of the man himself http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
I think Walter Schuck has CFS3 on the PC there?
