Submarine vs. submarines?

I'm up to mission 4 on the career mode campaign and so far I havn't been able to see or attack any
Japanese submarines yet? Did they leave this out
of SH4?

I was in an enemy port once and saw a mini sub. The mini sup left port and I chased it and fired at it a few time with torpedoes but I never did hit it.

yes unfortunatly they left it out you can sink them but you don't get any credit. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
