I have CH Pro rudder controls. They worked just fine until suddenly, for no apparent reason, I have neither Pro contols, nor stick twist controls. In opther words, no rudder. I guess that after all these years, I've got complacent with everything working well. I feel downright stupid, butI would really appreciate help.

CH makes a twist rudder? Well, anyways, I had a deal here recently where the same thing happened. I ended up calling CH over the item. The guy asked me patiently if the CH control manager was installed and I said, "Of course it is"! He wanted to check so he had me go to Add/Remove programs and sure enough, it wasn't there! No biggy becuase there is a new version of Control Manager out there anyways. I doubt this is the problem, but you might want to uninstall the older CH Control Panel and install the newer version (they say to uninstall the old one first) and see if you still have the problem.
I still don't understand how my CH Control Panel "went away" all by itself, but hey, the fix worked, so after that, I shut off my pea sized brain!

9 times out of 10 it is simply one or more of the little wires that go to the pedals that has broken.
Turn upside down take out the 16 or so screws ,solder the broken wires together or solder in a new section of wire. Then put it back together and it will work.
If you are mechanicaly competent and know how to solder it takes 15 minutes - the wires are colour coded.
If you are a mechanical luddite get someone else to do it.
I have to do this every few months - one of these days I'll add in some guides to protect the wires at the stress points but..... later

If Stenka's suggestion doesn't fix it, read the article linked in my sig.

is this a recurrance of your previous problem? http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=49310655&m=770005007&r=525000607#525000607
is this windows has lost the device or just game? no other controllers present/affected?
your 'old' dxdiag shows a via usb controller which has been known to cause dropouts like you seem to be experiencing.updating your motherboard drivers may cure this- check dell website- or better after posting another dxdiag(check your computers date/time is set correctly first?) steve v or maybe luckyboy can advise better on dell drivers? (do a restore point before any changes)
have you tried running your usb controll devices through a powered usb hub rather than plugged directly into your computers usb port/s- seems to have worked for some people but not others.
good luck

Thanks for all your replies. I wasn't clear, Luck Boy. I'm aware that the Pro doasen't have a twist stick. I was referring to the MS FFB2.
Strange, but I got the Pro working by changing to a different (powered)USB port, but then the MSFF would't operate elevators nor aeilerons! The calibration is ok for both the Pro and the MS,and the devices are connected. How bizarre. I'll send off a Dx.

LuckyBoy, you mentioned the new version of the CH control manager. (I don't think I even have the old one). Do you know the wbsite or this?. When I look in the CH site all I get is an ad for the product. Thanks.
Now if I can just get the darn MS and Pro to work predictably!
