[Blasting News & New Trailer] Strategy comes to multitouch

To be honest, I won't trust you if you tell me that you never dreamed of playing R.U.S.E. on a multitouch device, and get this feeling of a real general manoeuvring his army. The least I can say is that we teased you a bit ; with the announcement trailer first, then with the impressive touch tables on which we demoed the game at E3, GamesCom, FJV or TGS.

What would you say now if I'd announce you that it is your turn? Indeed today I come with an awesome news: we are absolutely thrilled to announce that R.U.S.E. makes another great technological breakthrough by being one of the very first games to fully exploit Windows 7 multitouch capabilities!

Nice! I just ordered my Free Upgrade to Windows 7 for my laptop, so i may have to also load it onto my PC and get a touch screen desktop now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Is that all you need for the touch screen to work is a monitor and windows 7? or do you need to have more? (like a special graphics card)

From what ive seen on previews.... it looks like touching a Giant iphone or a laptop touch pad, i hate using a laptop touch pad they just suck! and irritating trying to move around the desktop... yet again perhaps they have mastered the touch pad. Since bombers drop their payload in a straight line, it makes sense that if you catch some tanks moving in through a town, they would decimate almost every tank in the town. can this be confirmed?

They should combine this with endwar's system. I'd totally love saying "Unit one move here" while placing my index finger at point so+so.

Or, "Unit two, follow path" and tracing a very specific route with my finger.

Or even say "Unit two, move to taget, unit 5 attack hostile six. Unit 4 retreat. Unit 7 move to target. S Unit 1 move to unit 3. Unit 10 follow path." While tapping points on the map, tracing routes, and deploying new units with my fingers.

It also suggests the ability to draw circles around your units to select them. Which is much more versitle than drawing a box with a mouse or saying "units 1+2" or even useing hotkeyed groups.
