help with Alternate Route

Ok, im on alternate route(i think) were i have to cross a big open area with only wrekced train cars on the right side of the feild..are u supposed to ahve a tank in this level? I had read some guides were u do. And for some reason i dont, so when i get across the bridge another tank surrounded in barb wire and fence comes out with about 3 squads of germans...now its impossbile to get to the tank wich makes me think even more that u have a tank?

nvm i restarted chapter turns out the first anti tank gun shot it whe ni palyed yesterday and i didnt think anythign of it at first and forgot.
