Question about Multi- and Single!?!?!?

I am Downloading through steam and it says my multiplayer version is done downloading but my single player isn't yet.......Fine with me so i decide to play a multiplayer match well it gets stuck after about 3/4 of loading game to join server....will I juts not be able to play until the single player is done downloading or is something messed up?

I think that there are files that the multiplayer uses from singleplayer

Because for those who bought a CD copy, they dont install the singleplayer into steam yet when they go to use the multiplayer it downloads singleplayer (which suggests it needs both sets of files to run properly)

So I guess you'll just have to wait :/<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
