Help -server list

For some reason RvS locks up when i go to the multiplayer server list. It will open up, log me in, and begin loading servers...then it will simply freeze, and the only way to get out is to shut down my computer by holding the power button. Im running RvS 1.6 on Windows XP, re-installing hasnt helped. NOTE: This doesnt happen EVERY time. It was working fine this morning, then later today it began freezing.

i have zonealarm, but i have it set so it allows clearance for my online games. this is what i dont understand; immediately after making that post, i tried it again and i could get on and play just fine. it worked fine today also. tomorrow i bet itll be giving me problems again. its very random and sporadic, i dont know what causes it. maybe its just a dumb bug.

well now the server list refuses to load at all, it locks up every time. ive restarted 5 times now and its locked up every time. i dont know why im even bothering to post here, nobody is helping me and Ubi doesnt support its customers worth ****. I was thinking of buying splinter cell chaos theory but now its out of the question. Sorry, Ubi, you just lost yet another customer. I hope youre pleased.

I'm sure it is a firewall problems of some sort.
Did you turn off XP firewall?
Try turning off ZA too. Just to see if it makes a difference. It could be a bad load of ZA.
The game is locking up when it is trying to connect to the internet so that tells me it is a firewall program, not RvS or UBI.

i turned off ZA and made sure my XP firewall was off and it seemed to work fine, but that doesnt neccessarily mean anything, as it works fine sometimes anyway. only time will tell. it did however lock up while i was actually playing once, when i opened the scoreboard to switch my weapons while i was waiting >_< so i dont know what the problem was there.

I think ZA has more level of security try setting it to normal/medium if it is on high. IMO it is better if firewall have only three levels, block,normal or open/off.
