View Full Version : A real DDG Being Sunk For A Dive site (see photos)

These are the pictures of the guided missile destroyer HMAS Brisbane DDG-41 being sunk off The City of Brisbane's Sunshine coast on sunday 31 July 2005. After the charges were Blown she took two minutes too sink. She now lies in 25 metre's of water and will become the sunshine coasts newest dive attraction.
She was Commisioned into the Royal Australian Navy in 1967 and retired from service in 2001/2 I think. She served in 2 war theatres those being Vietnam and the First Gulf War.

Nice shots.

Funny though, if you go to your photobucket account, it would appear that it is a pictorial of a submersible destroyer that does an emergency blow and scares away a bunch of fisherman.

You crack me up I cant stop laughing after I read your comment. Never thought the other photo shots there would tell such a bizarre story
